Dear Guests, we are the sisters Stefania and Margherita and we are the owners of Appartamento Margherita. We decided to rent the apartment where we were born about 15 years ago, when we understood that it was a too special place to leave it empty and unknown. Infact we think that our apartment is different from the others and that it really worths a visit if you want to enjoy the real atmosphere of an old tuscan house inside the center! We say that because, as you can see from the picture, we didn't transform the apartment into a hotel but we maintained the original furniture, ornaments and tools that belonged to our family and are characteristic of this region. So, if you are looking for a modern and impersonal place, this is not the case! The apartment is located into the heart of the city center, but in a quiet street (as our previous guests uderlined in the reviews), next to the Old Convent of San Domenico, 100 mt from the beautiful Piazza della Cisterna and Piazza del Duomo. You can leave your car in front of the apartment for loading / unloading luggage and other needs for a maximum of 20 minutes (the city center is a pedestrian zone). A free parking will be provided by us just outside of the walls of the old town. The apartment can host up to 4 people and it is particularly recommended for families with children or couples that need a spacious and comfortable place. In the apartment there are: - a very large and bright living room with full-equipped kitchen, TV, sofa; -two bright and huge double bedrooms, one with an extra bed; -sunny stone balcony with table and chairs linked to the bedroom from which you can admire the Chianti hills having your meals; -sitting area with photoalbums, books, guides, maps, fliers; -bathroom; Included in the price you will find: heating, fresh linen and towels and a welcome gift. Living in the historic center let you experience the numerous attractions of the town within few metres: art galleries, museums, walks along the walls, restaurants and wineries. Everything is at hand: stores for shopping, groceries, pharmacy, ATM. In the evening the town of San Gimignano still gives the atmosphere of the Middle Age with its soft lights and typical taverns that allow you to taste the local products. Remember that the center is a pedestrian area, calm and quiet. Other things to note The owner's washing, drying, and clothes storage service is available at a price to be agreed upon. To be paid in cash based on the guest's needs. Guests are informed that starting in 2025, air conditioning will be installed in the rooms to enjoy peaceful and cool dreams even in the warmest months.
