In a rural location, about a mile from the nearest main road, you can relax with a glass or two of wine on the sunny patio, whilst admiring the stunning views of Moel Famau and the Clwydian Hills to the west. The pretty town of Ruthin is well worth a visit, with its streets of individual shops and cafés which seem to tumble down the hill from St Peter’s Square. You can visit the once feared Ruthin Gaol (they give a warm welcome these days!) or enjoy craft and art at Ruthin Craft Centre. Take a scenic trip over the Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen, where Wales meets the world. Here, in the home of the annual Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, you’ll find the Llangollen Canal, providing miles of leafy walks along the towpath, or even a horsedrawn boat trip on a barge pulled by one of the working shire horses. The Llangollen Railway is also well worth a visit – take a nostalgic trip on a steam hauled train along the Dee Valley to the little town of Corwen. If it’s beaches you’re after, then you’ll find some lovely sandy ones along the North Wales coast, whilst the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, and the beautiful National Trust garden at Bodnant are easily accessible, as is picturesque Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, and also home to Zip World Fforest, an adrenaline junkie’s delight! Beach 17 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles. This property accommodates 2 adults and 2 children. This property can be booked together with Oak House (UK6302) to accommodate up to 8 guests.
