Breakfast is not currently available The space In days gone by Kilmichael House was home to the village doctor and his surgery was located to the rear of the property (now sadly gone). Today the house has been converted into a very comfortable home with all of the modern conveniences whilst retaining many of its period features - window shutters, fireplaces, archways and last but not least the open reception hall with a rather nice elegant staircase to the first floor rooms. Kilmichael House is fully centrally heated, with ample car parkingand and is Non Smoking throughout the Property (including the grounds). We live in a beautiful area surrounded by fabulous scenery and wildlife much of which is protected and endangered (Red Squirrel, Pine Marten, Badger, Brown Hare and last but not least the beautiful Roe Deer. In addition we have many wild birds (many of them living in and around the garden) i.e. Sisken, Blue Tits, Sparrows, Woodpeckers, Blackbirds, Wrens not to forget the bigger species such as sparrow hawks ranging to magnificient Red Kites. Coming into autumn/winter months we also enjoy the nights of clear black skies with little light pollutiion which gives us the opportunity to enjoy the millions of stars (constellations, shooting stars , huge moons and the planets and very occasionally the beautiful dancing Aurora Borealis. We are also very aware, like the rest of the planet the devastation that modern living is having on the Planet and in our own wee area watching these animals fighting to survive. So to help Kilmichael House reduce our Carbon Foot Print we trying to reduce it by asking guests to avoid bringing single use plastic into the property i.e. water bottles/containers and we are pleased to say most of our guests are very happy to help and we have in the last year reduced the amount of plastic brought into Kilmichael House by at least 70% which is a great achievement. We accommodate adults only. All our four rooms are located on the first floor and either have garden views or views across the open fields to the hills beyond. They offer flexible accommodation - 2 x double (two super King Beds and two standard double rooms with King size beds). Three of the rooms are en-suite with the small double room having a separate bathroom (bath no shower.
