One of Fraser's best houses
Description
Sunset House is located on the waterfront and is built in the iconic style of Kingfisher Bay Resort. With its 4 bedrooms with spacious decks, one with a spa, it has a lovely sitting out area overlooking the water. It has a fully equipped kitchen and large fridge. There is also a BBQ. The house is minutes walk from the beach and nearby resort facilities. You will have full access to the Resort's facilities, including pools, restaurants, bars and tennis courts. The space Sunset House offers 2 bedrooms with queen beds, one bedroom with 2 king singles (can be made into a king - pls request that) and another with a double bed and single bunk above. So, 9 in separate rooms. As well there is a fold out sofa double bed near to the kitchen. In total the house can accommodate 11. A maximum of 9 is best. Sunset House is close to the beach and the Kingfisher Bay Resort. It is a large house with a large deck for entertaining and relaxing. During winter you can crank up the slow combustion heater...the only one on the island! Not that you will need it for many days. Fraser Island has the perfect climate. Plenty of off-street parking. Guest access You will have full access to the house...4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a good sized kitchen and laundry. There is a spa on the top deck of the house. Again, you will have full access to Resort facilities: pools, restaurants, bars and spa. Other things to note This is the best of both at Kingfisher Resort. A really nice house, close to the Resort. But if you want to get away from it all, you can enjoy the privacy of Sunset House. The house is has a fully equiped kitchen and a BBQ, so you can bring food and drinks and enjoy eating out on the large deck. Or you can eat at one of the 2 or 3 restaurants. The house is thoroughly cleaned by the Resort after every guest. Needless to say you will have clean linen at all times. As you will see its a difficult house to clean with lots of nooks and crannies (which is half its charm). Sometimes however the cleaners might miss some dust or the windows might not be as clean as we all would like. If there is a specific issue don't hesitate to ring Reception and they will send up a cleaner to deal with any specific issue. The Resort provides a "starter pack" with coffee, tea, 2 small milks, soap, shampoo and 3 rolls of loo paper per toilet. If you need more, there is a well appointed shop quite close to the house. Not surprisingly everything is quite expensive on the island (especially fuel and liquor). Suggest you bring as much as you think you'll need if coming by car.
