Alpe Aurelio-Hut Lake Maggiore Cabin

Characteristic hut located in a high mountain pasture (7 huts)at 1000 meters above sea level. Reachable only on foot in 40 minutes from the village of Miazzina (VB) by an easy path.Allows to enjoy the wild atmosphere of the nearby Val Grande Park and offers an outstanding view over Lake Maggiore.The hut is equipped with a wood boiler providing hot water and with a solar panel producing electricity for lighting and charging electronic devices. In July and August we prefer to have 3 guest or more. The space The refuge consists of: A kitchen with fireplace and wood-burning oven; a bedroom with a double bed; a living room with fireplace and queen-size bed; a mezzanine with two single beds; a bathroom with shower and hot water (wood boiler). Outside there is a nice stone table and deck chairs for sunbathing. The accommodation is rustic and suitable for people who adapt and do not need all the services. Guest access The whole hut is available for the guests. Reachable in 40 minutes from Miazzina by an easy path. It is essential to wear trekking shoes and to be well equipped. Other things to note In the hut, you will find informations about Val Grande pathways and walks in the surroundings as well as documentation about the lake side highlights (city of Verbania, Borromee islands, Villa Taranto) .
