Allandale Bush Retreat

A nice relaxing bush setting,on a lifestyle block, that also has farm animals.( chickens, ducks & sheep). There is seasonal fruit to pick from our trees, such as apples pears & feijoas. You can have breakfast outdoors with the bellbirds or a barbecue in the evening. We are only an hours walk along a beach track to the local Otorimiro(Governors Bay) hotel , or else it is 5 minutes drive. We are surrounded by beautiful scenery and close to the Port Hill walking tracks and mountain bike trails. The space It is mainly a native garden that is full of bird life and art and craft. Your veranda is surrounded by bush and a lovely place to relax. There are also bantams, chooks & sheep, that you can help feed if you ask. Guest access You are welcome to walk around our garden and sample any fruit that are in season. There is a trail around the garden with some interesting sculptures. You can walk over to the chook and sheep paddocks but do not enter unless you are with me. The courtyard at the back of the house is our private use. Other things to note There are bee hives in the orchard area, so do not go too close to them. The rain water is filtered & ultra violet treated and safe to drink.
