The Cowshed is the perfect boutique style cosy rural retreat set within the Suffolk Countryside. A self-contained single story 2 bed conversion set within a courtyard but offering privacy and your own garden. Contemporary and stylish with luxury amenities. Suitable for a couple who want to get away from it or two friends (having a room each) or a family with younger children. We are dog friendly too and the garden is fully fenced. Please note we only allow 2 adults per booking and not 4. The space The Cowshed has a lovely feel and guests say how welcoming and at home they feel on entering. The decor is a mixture of colour pops and original features. It is quirky and a very special space. Please do read our reviews from other guests who have had a wonderful stay. The view from the garden allows you to have panoramic views of fields and if you are lucky we have the most stunning sunsets especially during the summer months. The sky as is normally full of stars too! Our cosy Cowshed is ideal for those looking to escape to the country for a quiet, relaxing break or longer stay. We are delighted to except two well behaved dog so that you can have a proper family holiday. With two bedrooms, the main bedroom has a very comfortable superking bed, the second bedroom has a bunk bed which has 4 foot wide mattresses. The bunk room also has a desk and chair so perfect if you wish to work whilst you are staying. The bathroom is a contemporary/country design which has a bath with shower over it, WC and basin. The kitchen/ living room is an open plan room. Please note there is no dining table just 4 bar stools and a coffee table. With a large sofa in the sitting room and a bean bag available for additional seating. From the living room there are double doors which open out onto a private patio and you have the use of a your own garden. Dog/child friendly (!) as it is fully fenced with dog wiring. There is a large gas BBQ, and outside furniture. Car parking for two cars is permitted. You are welcome to bring bikes and garden games too. Looking out onto fields from the sitting room it's a very relaxing place to sit. The Cowshed is very well equipped with the following:- Dishwasher, oven, induction hob, kettle, microwave, large American fridge/freezer and a washing machine, Nespresso machine, nutribullet, cocktail making set and much more. We offer a good selection of utensils and crockery. Large TV in the living area with Sky TV, blue tooth speaker, board games, yoga mat, are some of the items we offer you to use during your stay. Bedding is provided in each room and we offer Egyptian cotton towels, a bathmat and t-towels are provided. Please note we do have a sofa with feather cushions so if you do have allergies please bear this in mind. We provide shampoo , hand wash, shower gels and even one for the children too are available to use during your stay. Washing up liquid and cleaning items are also provided. We use as many organic, eco friendly and Fair-trade products and try and support local companies and suppliers. A travel cot can be provided for use during your stay but guests must provide all bedding. A high chair can be provided too but we ask for guests to ensure it is cleaned thoroughly after use using the antibacterial spray provided or we will have to charge additional cleaning. LOCAL PUBS/PLACES TO EAT/SUPERMARKETS In the welcome pack we can recommend the best establishments in the area, where to shop etc (which are dog friendly if you are bringing one) If you wish to have a food shop delivered we will gladly unpack it all for you. DOG INFO We know how important it is to enjoy time away with your four legged friends and we very much welcome well behaved dogs* We only allow dogs over 12 months old, all dogs must have all vaccinations including kennel cough and have had flea/worming treatments. *please note we charge a fee of £25 to bring your dog/s so please add them to any booking. We like to treat your dog as a valued guest and we have a water bowl and welcome dog basket with a few items. We do not supply a dog bed but can on request. The garden is fully fenced so your dog can enjoy it’s own space too. We ask or all dog owners to be respectful and clear up after their dog at all times, and not allow them on the beds or to leave them unattended at any time. You and your dog can unwind recharge and explore the beautiful Suffolk countryside. We have two walks across the road with many other walks further afield. LOCATION We are located 10 minutes from Historic Lavenham and 12 minutes from Bury St Edmunds. Ickworth Park National Trust is 20 minutes away, the Suffolk coast is approximately 1 1/4 hrs with numerous pubs and restaurants a short drive away. EARLY CHECK IN/LATE CHECK OUT OPTIONS If you wish to arrive earlier or check out later please contact us as subject to availability we are able to offer additional time at The Cowshed. We charge £10 per additional hour and these need to be agreed prior to arrival. LOCAL PRODUCE HAMPER We are able to offer a shopping service prior to your arrival where we do a shop using all our local shops and Farmshops a great way to taste some of Suffolks cheese, breads, meats, wine and more! Costs of this can be discussed with Annabel who can shop to your budget. Guest access You will be given details of how to access the property using the electric gates and the keys for the property will be left in the door. All this will be sent prior to arrival. The Cowshed is for your exclusive use. Other things to note We really want all guests to have a relaxing stay and The Cowshed is in rural retreat where you can recharge and hopefully enjoy our lovely Suffolk hideaway.
