Welcome to the historically charming Shipp Haus c.1891. Built, by Dr. Shipp, in 1891, Shipp Haus is registered on the National Register of Historic Places. The home features two Airbnb spaces , a main parlor, and an owner's suite. The main parlor operated as an antique shop for several decades, and is now home to Shipphaus Mercantile. Shop online for the perfect unique gift, original artwork, new travel bag, or some local Hillsboro made items. The space The suite is private to you only and is not a shared space. There are 20 steps from the front porch to the second floor suite. The suite features a relaxing living room, equipped kitchen, bathroom, and a large bedroom with a queen size bed and sitting area. Also, private to this suite is the 3rd floor games room with a ping pong table and other games. Relaxing and fun! TV and internet are available in both the bedroom and living area with access to Netflix and Amazon and HBO. This suite features everything you need for a cozy and comfortable stay. Guest access Enter from the front RED DOOR into the common hallway. From there, go up the small staircase, enter your code to access your private suite. Other things to note THE BED The bed is firm. Bed comfort is a very personal thing, so we feel it is important to mention that this is a firm bed. LOCATION This home is on MAIN STREET. It is a busy main street. If you are used to a very quiet environment, the street noise may disturb you. Most of our guests, make no comment on the noise, but we have had one person suggest we mention it, as it did bother her. STEPS There are 4 steps up to the porch and first floor.
