Description
A tiny, quaint, timber framed, thatched building in the owner's front garden, offering a romantic stay with complete privacy for two people. King size bed plus en-suite shower and toilet, TV, microwave, mini fridge with breakfast, tea, coffee and free Wi-Fi. It is an incredibly peaceful place to stay -fall asleep to the hoot of owls and be woken by bird song. It’s located in the quintessentially English village of Elsworth, 8 miles from Cambridge. The space The thatched cottage is situated in our front garden but fenced off from the main garden and house. It is a small thatched building with a king size bed and the photos show all of the space. If you have a large suitcase this will need to be left upright or squeezed under the bed. It is full of character complete with exposed beams and just perfect for a weekend get away. We are in a quiet street within the heart of the village and set back from the road. Access to the house is either via a footbridge across a brook, or along the path beside the brook and up our not very steep gravel path. Parking is quite limited as this is an old area of the village and it is the access route for a farm at the other end of the road. You should be able to park on the hard standing beyond our house and on the right near the bridge to number 34. If you have trouble when you arrive, just call (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) which is more reliable and we can help you. Please also note that there is no 22 Brook Street so we are between nos 20 and 26 (which is the orange thatched cottage). Our little house is white with a blue door. Guest access Check-in is after 4pm and departure before 11am please. You will have the entire little house to yourselves plus a small outdoor area where you can sit on the camping chairs stored under the bed. We ask that you put them away after use. There is a leafed table inside but no room for chairs so you could sit on the bed to use it. Space is limited as you will gather, but you can put bags under the bed to give you more room. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the cottage. The mini fridge is stocked with a range of cold breakfast choices of cereals, yoghurt, juice, bread and jams. Other things to note Note the access mentioned earlier. I am afraid that our property is not suitable for wheelchair users.
