Unusual manor at the gates of Morvan, Burgundy.

In a small preserved village and away from the summer crowds, an authentic Manor of 400 m2 (foundations of the 14th century) with a tower of the 18th century on enclosed land of 3000 m2. You will appreciate its old furniture polished by time... But if you only like modern or fake vintage, we advise you not to book! The space Unique atmosphere in this stone mansion whose foundations date back to the 14th century. From its large vaulted cellar to its monumental spiral staircase, treat yourself to a timeless vacation in almost absolute calm. The rooms are all different, we renovate them as we go, taking care not to distort them. Some have slightly "patinated" paintings. It is quite possible that you will see spider webs from time to time. This is part of the decor, even if we make sure to limit their presence. Enjoy the nearby river (Yonne) (50 m) and access the Morvan Nature Park in 10 minutes. The fully enclosed garden of the manor is ideal for children, even noisy ones. It is home to a wide variety of birds that love to sing. You can see in the trees charming red squirrels, very fearful, moreover if you can take a picture of one we are interested... we have never succeeded. The vegetable garden at the bottom of the garden is at your disposal if you agree to water it from time to time. 2 hens (depending on the season) give you their eggs for free in exchange for your hard bread and leftovers. In less than 30 minutes by car you can access, in addition to the Morvan park, several cultural centers of interest, such as the Château de Bazoches, Vezelay, the underground quarries of Aubigny, the prehistoric cave of Arcy sur Cure (perfect on rainy days), Quarré les tombes, the Abbey of Pierre-qui-vire, the salt fountains... Walking from the manor, a vast network of hiking trails, including walks in the forest and along the Canal du Nivernais, await you. And then for cyclists it's paradise: flat and coastal! In the evening you can store your precious bike in the garage located on the property. You will also find on site a selection of vintage bikes that you are free to use subject to verification of their condition by you. Guest access The entire manor will be reserved for you, with leisure facilities that you can use, outdoors or board games.
