It's about 10 minutes by car/motorbike from Tuapejat harbour. We are located right in front of the beautiful and uncrowded beach of Mapadegat which hosts the world class surfspot TELESCOPE. The space Arthur Homestay Private Room 2 has ocean view. It is equipped with private and suite bathroom, mosquito net and fan. Our double bedroom are equipped with two single bed if you are a couple. We are pleased to arrange the beds together. Just let us know in advance. It's just a short walk from the stunning beach of Mapadegat, and the world famous break TELESCOPE The rooms are daily cleaned, and your bedsheets and bedcovers get change every third day. With 24/7 electricity and Free Wifi, you don't have to forgo on basic needs of our modern times. And Arthur Homestay has boat for surfing trip, snorkeling, fishing, or explore the islands. Concerning the more traditional needs, we offer ice cold softdrinks and beer. We also offer meal packages, just let us know in advance to be able to prepare you delicious meals. Guest access Compared to other locations on the Mentawais, it is super easy to get to us. Whether you take the fast ferry or one of the slowly ferries, first stop is always the harbor of Tuapejat, capital of the Mentawai Islands. From the harbor of Tuapejat, you get to us in less than 10 minutes by car or motorbike. With little bit planning and our local knowledge, you can have a stress-free and comfortable journey, and dip your toes in the crystal clear water, or ride your first wave just after 4 hours from departing Padang. As a surfer the Mentawais are propably on your bucket list for long. But also as a non-surfer, the Mentawais has a lot on offer. Fine white sand beaches, crystal clear water, stunning marine life, world class snorkeling and diving spots, fishing tours, tropical rainforest with untouched nature, wildlife and waterfalls, indigenous tribes to visit and last but not least silence, rest and peace. Other things to note To get to Sipora, we would advise the Mentawai fast ferry which takes about 3,5 hours, depending on the swell. Departure time of fast ferry from Padang to Tuapejat is at 07.00 am every monday, wednesday, friday, and sunday, except on monday is at 06.00 am.
