Private House beside the River "Lodge Miyagawa"

The Japanese house stands in a biosphere reserve village, upstream on the Miyagawa (Miya River) which flows from Odaigahara National Park to Ise. The river is just a few minutes walk from the house which is the best place for chilling out, swimming with your family or family and enjoying water. 20 mins' drive from JR "Misedani" station and 60 mins' drive to the Osugidani Valley (one of the three greatest valleys in Japan). The space There are 3 Japanese tatami rooms. The tatami rooms are designed to be multi-functional and can serve as both living rooms and sleeping rooms. During the day, a tatami room can be a living space for sitting, relaxing, or even working, and at night, it can be transformed into a bedroom by laying out futons. * Please understand that... This is a typical old Japanese house which has low lintels. These lintels are designed to support the sliding doors like shoji or fusuma. Tall guests should be mindful of their head in the house! Although there's no TV in the house, there set up the home theater and audio systems (a 100-inch screen and 4K projector) so the guest can use it as a private entertainment space to watch a favourite DVD/Blue-ray (please be careful if you bring your own digital disc because it may include the region code). [Video and Audio Equipment] 　AV Amplifier, Player, Speaker, Projector, Screen The AV amplifier has an HDMI port and an HDMI cable is available in the house. You can enjoy music and videos connecting your laptop to the amplifier if it has an HDMI port. There's NO cables or converter adapters to connect smartphones or tablets to the amplifier. Please bring your own cables or adapters if you want to enjoy music and videos of your digital device on the screen. Guest access You can access any space in the house except the staff room. Other things to note [Check-in and Check-out] - Check-In: 3:00pm-8:00pm, Check-out: 11:00am - Please let us know your check-in time in advance. - If we are not available when you arrive, we'll ask you to make self check-in. We'll provide you the self check-in instruction after the booking is completed. - If you are coming by car and checking in after dark, please make sure you confirm the parking space described in this house manual beforehand since it might be difficult to find the parking in the dark (it gets very dark in the rural area where we live) and we don't want to bother our neighbours. - You can neither drive up the slope nor park in front of the house. If you need to unload your bags from the car, you can temporarily park on the street. Please move your car to the parking space soon after unloading. [Parking Space] The parking space is NOT next to the house but a min's walk across the street. You can't see the parking from the house. If you are parking more than one car, please contact us beforehand. Please fill up a car before you come. There's no petrol station close to our house. [Places to Eat and Grocery-Shop] We don’t provide meals. Also, there aren't any supermarkets, shops or restaurants within walking distance. We recommend you'll be bringing food and drinks before you come to our house. The closest grocery shop "Umimonogatari Miyagawa" is a 10 mins' drive (approx. 6km) from our house. They open everyday from 9:00am-7:00pm except the Golden Week, Obon, Year End and New Year. The supermarket "MaxValue Odai Branch", 15km drive from the house, opens everyday from 7:00am-11:00pm. [Smoking] We don't allow smoking indoors and there’s no ashtray inside and outside. Smoking is allowed outside but please bring your own portable ashtray and take the cigarette butts with you. Don’t throw them in the rubbish bin in the house or outside. If you use an empty tin as an ashtray, please take it with you when you check out. [Pets] Please understand we don't allow any pets. [Bedding] We don't provide western-style beds but Japanese futon mattress and duvet. [Wi-Fi] Free Wi-Fi (The signal gets very weak sometimes.
