Lovely apartment at the Nido del Falco
Description
The Nido del Falco is a splendid setting for those who want to treat themselves to a stay in total relaxation, in the silent, wild and unspoiled nature of the Sabine hills, away from mass tourism. The apartment in question (40 square meters) and a larger one (see "Panoramic apartment" 70 square meters) will welcome you in a stone farmhouse nestled among the rocks, surrounded by 7 hectares of olive groves and at an altitude of 700 meters, with a view as far as the eye can see over the provinces of Rieti, Rome and Viterbo. The space THE APARTMENT: The 40 sqm apartment is ideal for 2 (max 3) people, and has maintained its typical historical architecture, with exposed stone and wooden ceilings, without compromising on comfort. It consists of a kitchen/living room, bathroom and bedroom and is equipped with wifi, linen and everything you need to cook. The entrance is independent and parking is free. In the courtyard in front of the farmhouse, a large terrace with tables and deck chairs will finally be the ideal place to enjoy beautiful sunsets. THE FARMHOUSE: In addition to being a wonderful location nestled in the green Sabine hills, the Nido del Falco is a historic residence. The farmhouse, built in 1700, was in fact used during the Risorgimento campaign of the Agro Romano-Sabino as a Garibaldi garrison and houses a small themed museum on the ground floor. THE LOCATION: The Nido del Falco is located in the heart of Sabina, among olive groves, medieval villages and natural paths. The farmhouse is an hour from Rome, 30 minutes from Rieti and 1 km from the town of Poggio Moiano, where you can taste local culinary specialties. We are also a stone's throw from the Monti Lucretili Regional Natural Park, 18 km from the Abbey of Farfa and 7 km from Lake Turano, where you can go boating, water sports and mountain excursions.
