The space The Urban Cottage is newly built, spotlessly clean and filled with conveniences to make your stay easy and comfortable. The space is open plan with separate areas for cooking, dining, working and relaxing. There is a separate bedroom with a luxourious queen bed with plenty of pillows, closet and dresser for your clothes and storage. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare food at home: dishes, wine glasses, pots &pans, coffee machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, oven/stove, toaster and kettle. Adjacent to the kitchen, there is a designated dining room area, with table & chairs for 4 and views to the green outdoors. The bathroom features a shower with the conveniences of hot water on demand, towel rack, sink with storage space for personal effects. The utility room is the home to the washer and dryer plus drying rack, iron, ironing board, cleaning tools and supplies. The living room area has a super comfy couch that pulls out into a twin sized bed and a chaise that lifts up for storage. Relax here to read, watch your fav shows on the Smart TV, or take a nap. At the far end of the living room, there is a seven foot desk with two designated work spaces for those guests who need to work or study. The cottage has wifi for your convenience. Finally the French doors open up onto the back patio/porch area with table and four chairs for outdoor dining overlooked by a beautiful, peaceful backyard. Guest access The Urban Cottage is set behind a one story home on the main road. Both homes share the driveway and large garage. You drive up the driveway and park in the left hand space in the garage. Next walk up a short flight of steps on the left of the garage structure to reach the front door of the cottage. You will notice immediately how private, beautiful and secluded it is. Use the smart touch key pad to let yourself inside. A second car can be parked on the main road, no permits needed and there always seems to be plenty of spaces available. You can get around the neighborhood on foot, car or bike. Haywood Road, the main thoroughfare through West Asheville with all its hip eateries and breweries, is only one block away, an easy few minutes walk. At the other end of the street, you will find your way to Amboy Rd, the home of Carrier Park & the French Broad River Greenway. This premier park offers many recreational activites such as biking & running on a paved trail, roller blading, basket ball, picnicking etc. under a pavillion, plus a multi use sports field. Downtown Asheville is 8 mins away by car and River Arts District 4 mins away. The New Belgium Brewery is right there too. Walking the West Asheville neighborhood is very enjoyable. If you want to enjoy a night out downtown without the hassle of driving., call an Uber. The CIty of Asheville's Transport Service "ART" has a system of buses that weaves comprehensively across the town and suburbs and schedules can be looked up online on the ashevillenc.gov website.
