The entire property is smoke-free. The quiet, bright bedroom for guests has a wonderfully comfortable bed, good reading lights, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, armchair and table by the window. Guests repeatedly report getting some of the best nights of sleep that they have had in years! The combination of being close to the heart of a World Heritage city and the having beautiful sea views that make Scotland so special, offers a unique experience while staying in Edinburgh. During your stay I have traveled extensively and understand there are times when I have had a thirst for knowledge from tiny practicalities to a better understanding of the culture, architectural, history, politics and identify of the place I am visiting. I also know there are times when I just want to be left to sit with a cup of tea or glass of wine, a book and a view. I am more than happy to accommodate either as the mood takes you. Please be aware that for everyone's well being all guests MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED WITH ALL AVAILABLE BOOSTER SHOTS against Covid 19. I have had both doses plus all three booster.s. Vaccinations certificates must be presented before checking in and I will share the same with my guests. Other things to note Probably worth noting that I have some expertise in architecture history so am happy to give an overview of the wonders of Edinburgh and Scotland. I have frequent visitors from all over the world so can answer most tourism and transport questions you may have. I also have been a restaurant critic for many years so can provide useful knowledge as required. The garden is there to be enjoyed and when the weather is good you may be tempted to light up the BBQ. I entertain regularly, have catered and enjoy cooking so if you would like an evening meal or a packed picnic I am happy to provide subject to agreeing a reasonable cost and a bit of notice. This might also suit late arrivals if you just can't face heading out into the world again. Please let me know in advance your breakfast preferences and any allergies or food intolerances you may have. It is easy to adapt to suit and the most important thing is that you feel contented.
