The Orangerie apartment was created from the careful restoration of a portion of an ancient building located in the historic center of Pisa, in the Santa Maria district, very close to Piazza dei Miracoli, the S Chiara hospital and Piazza dei Cavalieri and close to most of the university departments. The apartment consists of three bedrooms, one of which is a loft, a kitchenette, a relaxation area, and a dining table. Shared with another apartment: large garden and orangerie ​ ​ The space The Relais Pacinotti is located in the heart of the historic center of Pisa, a short walk from the Leaning Tower and Piazza dei Miracoli. It consists of three apartments (La Limonaia, il Giardino and Caterina) that can be rented individually or can be combined to form a single apartment, for a total of 10-11 beds. The Orangerie apartment consists of the two apartments "Caterina" and "Il Giardino". Each apartment is designed to allow maximum freedom and independence, and is equipped with numerous comforts and accessories: private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, high-quality toiletries, mosquito nets, air conditioning, free wi-fi, safe, mini-kitchen with induction hob, mini-fridge or minibar, coffee machine, microwave. The Relais Pacinotti was born from the careful restoration of a portion of an ancient building, located behind Via Santa Maria, an elegant and historic street connecting the Duomo and the Lungarno. The building was purchased at the beginning of the last century by Pietro Pacinotti, brother of the famous scientist Antonio Pacinotti (the inventor of the dynamo), until it reached, through his daughter Caterina - to whom one of the three apartments was dedicated - the current owners. The managers' intent is to combine modern comfort and ancient atmospheres. The furniture is all original, belonging to the Pacinotti family, some coming from their country villa just above Pistoia. Small paintings and drawings by Caterina were used to decorate the environment. We ask you to pay attention to and respect the antique and sometimes fragile items made available to you, because for us their value goes far beyond the economic one. Guest access We have paid particular attention to those traveling with the family, or to those looking for accommodation for extended stays: each individual apartment lends itself, in fact, to being lived in as a small house, with an equipped mini-kitchen, living room and sleeping area. For laundry, you will have the opportunity to use, upon request, the washer-dryer located in the common areas. Upon request, we will provide the ironing board and iron. We can offer you everything you need for your children: a camping cot, changing table, and high chair. Children under 3 years of age stay free of charge. Guests of the Relais Pacinotti can also enjoy full relaxation in the winter garden, which is at their complete disposal. The building is in a traffic-restricted zone (ZTL). We can take care of the transit permit request, but we need you to tell us exactly: the time of entry into the ZTL, the type of vehicle and the license plate. Parking will be possible in the ZTL, by requesting a coupon valid for 24 hours (15 euros per day) or in the parking lots outside the electronic gates. Other things to note Our structure allows access without any surcharge to well-behaved and socialized dogs and cats with other animals (a cat, a turtle, and a small dog live in the garden). The owners are responsible for the behavior of their animals and any damages caused by them. We don't offer breakfast service, but there are plenty of bars and a good pastry shop nearby. Important!!! The tourist tax is excluded from the price of the room and amounts to 2.5 euros per day per person for a maximum of 5 days from the week before Easter to the first Sunday of November.
