Nestled between two World Heritage Sites — the Lake District and Hadrian’s Wall — with the Scottish Borders just a stone’s throw away, it’s perfect for couples seeking peace, privacy, and indulgence. Set in the rural hamlet of Flanders near Dalston, Hoglet Cottage comfortably accommodates two guests. Wander up the garden path, through pretty flowers flourishing among sandstone paving, to the verandah-sheltered front door. Fabulous patio doors offer a glimpse into the cosy interior, while the private location ensures complete tranquillity throughout your stay. The garden is a delightful space to unwind, taking in the views of the surrounding countryside and spotting wildlife such as deer and hares. Here you’ll find the luxurious covered hot tub, open on one side to the garden for full privacy — the perfect spot for an indulgent soak with a glass of bubbles as the sun sets and stars appear. The picturesque garden features cottage favourites like hollyhocks, lupins, clematis, English climbing roses, and daisies. Step inside to the spacious open-plan living area, where patio doors lead to the private courtyard and hot tub. Relax in front of the glorious wood-burning stove, perfect for cosy evenings, while enjoying Freeview Smart TV and WiFi. The well-equipped kitchen and utility room include a washing machine, and there is a convenient downstairs toilet. A modern oak staircase leads to the luxury bedroom, featuring a 6-foot super kingsize bed with crisp Egyptian cotton bedding, and an en-suite contemporary shower room for a touch of extra indulgence. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning Cumbrian countryside views, perfect for spotting wildlife from the comfort of your bed. Hoglet Cottage is ideally located for exploring the Lake District, Hadrian’s Wall, and the Scottish Borders. Hikers, bikers, and drivers will all enjoy scenic trails, roads, and paths with breathtaking views. After a day of adventure or relaxation, nearby Dalston offers charming local pubs, including the Blue Bell Inn and the Bridge Edge Inn, both highly recommended. Guest access Access to the property is via a key safe. Guests will be sent the code to the key safe the day prior to their arrival.
