“Verena” is a Family Suite on the first floor of the main Guesthouse building of Gaia’s Garden in Auroville, one of South India's most beautiful flower gardens. It is 1 km from the Bay of Bengal, 5 km from Matrimandir and 7 km from Pondicherry. There are 7 double rooms and 4 suites surrounded by 2.5 acres of garden flourishing with flora & fauna. The space Welcome to Gaia’s Garden, a Gift of Mother Earth. Our “Verena” Family Suite is ideal for a small family who enjoys nature. Located on the first floor of our main Guesthouse building, the suite includes: an AC double bedroom with an attached bathroom, a non-AC double bedroom with sitting area, and a very large private terrace overlooking three sides of our beautiful garden. The main building has a communal kitchen and a shared dining room on the ground floor. Resonate with the sound of Nature and take delight in its many scents. Wake up to the song of birds, catch sparkling water dancing on leaves, and snuggle into the sweetest dream as the intoxicating fragrance of the Queen of the Night fills the air. All these gifts we receive with gratitude. Stay still under the old banyan tree and meet our beautiful mind in peace and harmony. Be in awe and feel fully alive before the great rising sun in the Bay of Bengal. What you are seeking may well be found in this journey. Guest access In the main Guesthouse building, there is a communal kitchen with two refrigerators, dynamised and filtered drinking water, coffee makers, e-kettles, mixers and private food safe. There are three covered terraces in the Main Building, a tea pavilion in the garden and sitting places under a majestic banyan tree. Other things to note We request all of our guests to register upon arrival with ID proof (Aadhar card, driver's license, passport, or Pan card). Foreign nationals including OCI & CIO visa holders are requested to bring along passports and valid visas. Our team sincerely asks you to observe our house rules for a harmonious stay among other guests at Gaia’s Garden: no alcohol, no drugs, no smoking in alignment with Auroville protocols, and no shoes in the buildings according to the custom in Tamil Nadu. There are no TV here, as in other guesthouses of Auroville. In the evening, we request our guests to retain the peaceful and quiet atmosphere in Gaia's Garden, respectful of other guests. We have back up power supply for lights, plug points, and ceiling fans but not for air conditioners. All of our air conditioners are inverter type, which consumes less energy. We deploy solar power to heat our bathing water, the temperature of which may vary according to the sunlight blessings of Mother Nature. So we ask of your patience.
