CHECK IN TIME: 2pm CHECK OUT TIME: 10am OUR VISION Our vision is simple, we are committed to providing our guests with eco-friendly accomodation and to provide you with a beautiful space which is fully equiped for you to enjoy your holiday with your loved ones. OUR HUT SPACE: Our cleverly restored eco-hut is well-insulated and spacious, sleeping up to nine people in a comfortable design that minimises your carbon footprint. It has been crafted from recycled timber and fittings with off-grid solar power, a slow-combustion fireplace and indoor-outdoor living options to take advantage of the stunning daytime vistas and sparkling night skies. Adventurers, bushwalkers and nature lovers will delight in the easy access to fishing spots, horseriding trails, waterfalls, swimming holes, lookouts and walking tracks in all directions. Surrounded by bush and pasture in total privacy, the hut is a short drive to town for basic supplies but far enough away to retreat and replenish in a unique, breathtaking setting. LAYOUT The hut is open plan, with four sleeping spaces including a small loft with a single and queen sized mattress suitable for children, as there's little head clearance in the loft. There are three queen size beds downstairs. While each is in its own area, If privacy is important ,then this hut won't suit you as none of the bedrooms have doors and are part of an open plan layout. The open-style living area can be closed off with glass doors for winter comfort and includes a kitchen with a slow-combustion stove and gas cooktop, also great for heating the whole hut on those cold winter nights. OUTDOOR BATHROOM The outhouse is 5 metres from the hut and has a separate shower and flushing toilet. Both have stunning views over the orchard and paddocks. AMENITIES ESKY There's no fridge (they suck a lot of power!) but you can keep fresh produce icy cold in the 125L commercial Esky – an old-fashioned ice box with plenty of storage. Ice is also available at the Ebor service station five minutes away. Or you can pick it up en route at Dorrigo, Grafton or Armidale. We suggest 3-4 bags of ice. WHAT WE SUPPLY PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS & TOWELS We supply soap, pillows, doonas, blankets and toilet paper. We supply firewood, matches, firelighters. However, due to the remote location of the hut we are unable to provide towels sheets and pillow cases. So please bring a fitted sheet, flat sheet and pillow cases to go under the doonas and blankets provided. Please do not use our own linen as they are for our own use only. All beds are queen sized except one single matress in the loft. POWER Our small solar power set-up means there is minimal power for gadgetry. A single power outlet allows you to recharge small electronic devices. like phones, laptops and camera batteries, during daylight hours only. There is not enough power for hairdryers, stereo systems or heated blankets. The hut has 6 internal lights. Telstra's 3G network provides mobile coverage. We've supplied board games and books, so staying here is a chance to slow down, chat fireside, play games, read and relax the old-fashioned way. Due to the remoteness of the hut and the limited power on site our caretaker cleans and prepares the hut for your arrival. All you need to do is enjoy the hut and all that it has to offer. We are unable to use a vacuum on site due to limited power. so all cleaning is done by broom. We appreciate your understanding. WEATHER & ACCESS TO HUT We recommend that you bring an all wheel or 4 wheel drive to manage ALL weather conditions. The hut is accessible by 2 wheel drive, however, please do not bring a low lying car or sports car. In wet weather we recommend an all wheel or 4 wheel drive to reach the hut safely. If you book months in advance, we can’t predict your access until closer to your arrival date. We will always contact you with an update should you require a 4 wheel to access the hut. To err on the side of caution we recommend that you own a suitable vehicle to manage all weather conditions and to avoid disappointment if the weather requires an appropriate vehicle for access. HUT INFO When you arrive at the hut please read through the hut Information folder carefully, as it explains where everything is and how it all works. There is also a detailed check list to follow when you check out ensure the hut is shut down properly and our equipment is looked after, failure to do so can result in damaging our system and loss of your bond.
