Boutique “island style” accommodation in Tauranga Bay. Peaceful Garden Suite #4 set further back from the beachfront with private deck & partial sea views front & back of suite. Sumptuous bedroom with 100% NZ wool carpet & NZ Sleepyhead king bed, luxury ensuite with heated Italian floor tiles, roll in shower with rain head, modern kitchen/lounge area and private deck. (Min. guest age 18 years old) The space Overlooking the popular surf break at Tauranga Bay, The Bay House is in a unique coastal location giving all who come here a sense of escape to somewhere close to Paradise. Our new luxury Beachside Studios and stylish Garden Suites are in an idyllic and peaceful setting. Tauranga Bay, Maori for “sheltered anchorage”, is 16kms south of Westport and 57kms north of Punakaiki on the West Coast of South Island. Our unique seaside location is a just a stone throw from the Tasman Sea. Step out of your studio or suite, walk just 20 to 50 metres and you are on the beach. There are rock pools to fossick or bathe in, soft golden sands to stretch out on, amazing surf to play in (lessons available) and short strolls or long walks all around. Choose to do it all…. or as little as possible, and at the end of the day be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the ocean and chatter of penguins. Stay for a day or more and simply relax, unwind and be happy in our little corner of Eden. Guest access Our customer carpark is at the foot of the driveway to the right. Please note you can drive up our single lane driveway to load and unload baggage. A continental breakfast served in our dedicated breakfast room can be booked a day in advance for $50 for a couple. Alternatively a continental breakfast basket can delivered to your studio or suite the evening prior for $30. We have an outdoor gas BBQ on the communal decking area of main buildling- please enquire if you wish to use this facility outside of the summer months. Other things to note Set immediately above the ocean, guests may hear the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and penguin calls (at night). During the day, guests staying in Studio 1 may hear beach & surfing activity immediately below them being at the front of the property and closest to the seashore. Our stylish one bedroom Garden Suites (3) & (4) have partial sea views, our Luxury Beachfront Studio (1) at the front of the property has uninterrupted sea & bay views, and our Luxury Beachside Studio (2) has amazing island and surf views.
