Description

*New! 2 night weekend stays* Whether you want to snuggle by the fire or explore the peaceful hills and valleys, you'll sink in to a calming space at Trwyn Tal Cottage. Your accommodation is a self-catering barn conversion tucked in a tranquil valley in the beautiful Brecon Beacons between Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye. If you're looking for somewhere to get away from it all, relax and unwind I'd love to welcome you here. It's cosy, comfy beds, deep bath to soak in, & meals available too. The space Large cosy lounge with wood burner; kitchen equipped by a cook, with rustic farmhouse table; spacious downstairs shower room with underfloor heating. Upstairs - character bedrooms with quirky barn nook windows, sloping ceilings - one twin room, one double room; and huge bathroom with two basins, WC, and luxury deep bath. Relax with one of the many books in the cottage, enjoy time to do a jigsaw or head outside with mountain walks from the door: Enjoy the peaceful tranquility of stunning views down the valley and across to Offa's Dyke, with birdsong, babbling streams, and fresh mountain air. Guest access Guests have sole use of the entire cottage and dedicated lawn space with stunning views, picnic table and deck chairs - ideal for games with the kids or relaxed gazing for grown ups. In addition guests are welcome to wander the 27 acres of ancient woodland, streams and pasture here. For walkers there is direct access from the cottage on to the hill paths to Gospel Pass, Hay Bluff, Llanthony Priory and beyond. Plentiful parking. Other things to note This is a place to get away from it all. There is no mobile signal and no wifi. There are streams and areas of open water. Lots of walks direct from the cottage. Friendly, named sheep (do ask if you'd like to help feed the sheep!) and foster kittens. I'm told that the quiet surroundings and accoustics in the cottage lounge are good too - two families have brought their recording equipment and recorded albums here!
