Description

Remotely located, 2-storey, self-contained cottage with large, open-plan triple aspect sitting room on 1st floor offering amazing views. Downstairs offers a bedroom with king size bed, shower room and kitchen/diner featuring a woodburner, dining table and two comfy chairs looking out over extensive countryside views. French doors open onto a terrace with garden furniture & chimenea and a private garden area with BBQ. Excellent Wi-Fi signal throughout. Well behaved dogs welcome -max 2 The space This annexe has been specifically designed to cater for every holiday requirement: R and R holidays - though we are next door if you need us, you are assured of both privacy and tranquility with all the trappings you need to chill out and recharge your batteries (and btw we have fibre broadband into the house so the wifi is second to none). Think Loaf Day Beds, wooden sun loungers, comfy sofas and an Emma mattress to assure you restful nights. But if you do need to check your e mails, the six seater dining table offers ample room for a work space. Food lovers - For sumptuous and indulgent teas, the local Farm Shop is within walking distance. 17 minutes drive away is Coombeshead Farm where the owner's Mangalitza pigs make for the most delicious pork pies and cured hams you will ever eat (as featured on Rick Stein's Cornwall). The restaurant there serves some of the most inspired food we've ever eaten but make sure to book well in advance. For nature lovers - You can walk to the moor from the property. This is an exceptionally beautiful and quiet part of Bodmin Moor, which abounds with herds of white ponies, Herdwick Sheep, cattle, skylarks, meadow pipits, yellowhammers and much, much more. Cyclists and adventurists - We are on the Caradon Trail which offers a great cycling route and we understand that the moor offers a great place to challenge your running skills with its rugged terrain and plentiful hills. Five minutes drive is the stunning Gold Digger's Quarry where you can wild swim in the Summer. Siblyback Lake (which you can walk to from our house or it's ten minute drive) offers a variety of recreational water sports. Stargazers - Bodmin Moor has recently been awarded dark sky status so you can spend your evenings under the stars with your own chimenea to keep you warm. Beach Bums - Cornwall's beautiful coast line is just over twenty minutes drive away. Don't forget to pick up some fresh fish from Pengellys in Looe to cook on your Weber BBQ after a day at the beach. Guest access Guests have separate parking alongside the annexe accessed via a private driveway
