Description
Sant Annina: beautiful, quiet villa in country-side outside Cisternino, 20 mins from the sea. Melograno is the very spacious 8-person apartment on the ground floor with it's own private terrace. Perfect for having breakfast on, it catches the morning light beautifully. Plenty of books and lots of peaceful places to read them - including the hammock by the pool! Sharing 3.5 acres of rural grounds with a large kidney-shaped pool, a full-sized tennis court (perfect for family fun!) and a barbecue The space The villa is divided into four apartments, with Melograno being the ground floor of the main house. There are two smaller apartments upstairs and an additional seperate apartment next door. Melograno has four bedrooms: two large doubles one ensuite, and two twin-bedded rooms. The living room is enormous opening out onto the sun terrace at one end. Next door is a good sized, fully equipped kitchen, with a large family bathroom and extra loo next to that. Guest access A car is essential at Sant' Annina because the villa is situated in the middle of the countryside - there is plenty of space for parking once you enter the gates. Walking up the righthand side of the property, you reach a line of trees which marks the beginning of the forest, continue through and you reach the boundary wall of the property which has the most wonderful view down across the valley to the Adriatic. Looking back the other way, are glorious view across the rolling hills of the Valle d'Itria, with the local town of Cisternino off in the distance. Apart from the wonderfully, individual towns of Alberobello, Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Ostuni there are plenty of beaches, a zoo, grottos and the ancient Greco/Roman site of Egnazia all within an easy drive. Other things to note The grounds are quite rugged, so decent shoes - not just flip flops - are sensible for exploring! In the summer months there is often live entertainment in and around the Centro Storico of Cisternino, with the many local towns having festivals throughout the year. The caves of the grotto are extraordinary, as are the remains of the Roman town on the coast and of course the ice cream is to die for! Buy fresh food from the fantastic local markets and, if it is your thing, enjoy the local wines of the region which are such good value for money. Registration Details IT074005B400053321
