25 minutes from the tourist bubble Lakeside lies the semi rural suburb of Lamachaur where you can experience Nepal's real world living with a warm and welcoming Gurung family. Newly constructed rooms and 2 delicious homecooked meals provided daily! The space Recently constructed to accommodate the many guests we have been welcoming into our home, we have three brand new bedrooms on the second floor with comfy new beds, wardrobe, mosquito nets, limited WIFI access, shared guest bathroom and a common lounge room. Guests are provided two delicious homecooked meals each day and Nepali tea every morning. Guest access Solar back up power is available in the main living areas of the house so there is always a light and limited WIFI available even when Nepal's power cuts reach 18 hours! Guests can use the kitchen to store and make their own food when they wish and guests are welcome to join us in our family lounge room. The bathroom has a cold shower with fantastic pressure to cool off in the monsoon season. Like most family homes in Nepal there is no running hot water in the bathroom but the family are happy to boil water for a refreshing bucket shower whenever you need. We also have a small shop available in the home so you can buy all your basic necessities right here at a very reasonable price, such as mineral water, recharge cards, toiletries, snacks, beer and Nepali raksi fresh from the family's home village! During your stay We are a warm and welcoming family who sometimes have up to four generations of our family visiting or living in our home! The guests can have as much privacy or interaction with us as they choose. If they want to interact with us, they can join us on the first floor to spend time with us any time they like. Otherwise, we won't be offended if they enjoy their privacy on the second floor!
