Friendly-Farm Retreat.

Private apartment with sleeping loft just minutes from Forestville State Park. Ideal farm acreage retreat getaway. The space You can relax and take in a real farm experience, or just sleep in, and drink coffee, before heading out to explore the beautiful countryside. This a working farm with a lot of activity spring through fall. The apartment is adjacent to our large shed, which could be noisy in the afternoons. Guest access Your own patio and fire pit access. Other things to note We have a full working farm, with adults and babies (cows and mini-donkeys) in the spring & summer. For your safety, note that we do have electric fencing around pastures. We’re happy to introduce you to the animals if we are home. We have two golden retrievers as well, the puppy is friendly. In 2024 we built a sleeping loft with three twin beds. The ceiling is low (under 4 feet), so standing is not possible for an adult. you can access the loft by spiral stairs. Please use caution going up and down and especially watch you head clearance when you reach the top. We have mini-split units that help keep the apartment cool in the summer months. Both units don’t need to be on, but if they are, they must both do the same thing: one can’t heat, and one can’t cool- for example, they both need to be set to cool. The condenser unit is on mounted outside the unit on the interior shed wall, so please note you may hear humming when it’s cooling. Please let us know if you do not like dogs. We have two. Copper (11 years) and a new puppy, Rocky. They are friendly and will take treats (that we have in the apartment). The young one is extremely friendly. If you do not like pets, please let us know When your stay is complete; please place used linens, bath and kitchen towels in the laundry basket in bathroom. Thank you.
