Located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Jungfrau region, the Mountainhostel Gimmelwald is simply love at first sight. With perfect access to the many hiking trails from our front door, we also make a great base for outdoor activities such as paragliding, rafting, via ferrata and more. Room facilities: Bunk bed with duvet & comfy pillow, free WiFi, plug socket, access to a modern shared bathroom and a rich breakfast. The space A bed in this room is perfect for the female traveler who prefers sleeping in a room only for girls. Simple and cozy 16 bedroom (bunk beds separated with curtains) with breathtaking views. Self-catering kitchen, lounge, restaurant, and hosts who are heartily happy about your visit await you amidst the snowy mountain peaks. Guest access As you might have seen, we are located in a car-free village in the mountains. To reach us, you can go by car or public transport to Stechelberg to the valley station of the Schilthorn cable car. From there the gondola will take you to the mountain village of Gimmelwald within 4 minutes and costs 6 CHF. The hostel is located in Gimmelwald right next to the gondola station after the gravel path. In the evening the gondola leaves every hour until 23:45 - on weekends until after midnight. Other things to note An additional fee of CHF 3.10 tourist tax per night/person has to paid at check-in.
