Sunnybank is not your average holiday cottage but a luxury villa-style property situated in the Blackdown Hills with stunning views across the Culm Valley. Furnished in a contemporary style with everything you will need for a memorable holiday or short break; including an outdoor 6-person Hot Tub. The space Sunnybank is not your normal holiday cottage but a luxury villa-style holiday property accommodating 8 guests in comfort. Situated in the lee of Penncross Hill, just outside of the village of Hemyock, Sunnybank commands stunning views of the Culm Valley and surrounding Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sunnybank is located near enough Hemyock for convenient access to its shops, pubs and amenities but far enough away to make this a secluded rural retreat ideal for a peaceful holiday. Its rural situation means that Sunnybank is great for those wanting just a relaxing country retreat. We therefore require that guests respect this peace and quiet by not play loud music or make excessive noise when outside. Sunnybank has been furnished to a very high standard with all the needs of holiday guests in mind. There is an open-plan sitting room (with built in log fire), dining area and kitchen with patio doors opening out onto one of the two garden patio areas, ideal for relaxed holiday living. There are 4 spacious bedrooms; 2 with en suite shower rooms and 2 share a large family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. This self-catering villa offers light and airy accommodation all on one level (apart from one step into and out of the dining area) and would make an ideal venue for a family get-together or celebration. There is full central heating backed-up by a woodburner in the sitting room and a Rayburn in the kitchen (this is turned off during the summer). Hot water is provided on-demand by a modern oil-fired boiler. The property offers a high standard of quality accommodation with modern furnishings throughout. Sunnybank has a large terraced informal garden (semi-enclosed) with enough space for the children (or young at heart!) to pay football in and generally let off steam whilst allowing the adults peace and quiet to enjoy our outdoor 6-person Jet SpaHot Tub. This is situated on our second patio area which has shelter and seclusion but still with the stunning views that characterise Sunnybank. We have three games rooms with pool table, dartboard, table football and a full-sized table tennis table. Sunnybank welcomes well-behaved pets, but please contact us first. Our weeks run from Friday to Friday Weekends run from Friday to Sunday or Friday to Monday. SUNDAY SUPPLEMENT For a £40 supplement extend your stay until 4pm on a Sunday (bookings allowing). Guest access The guests have full access to all the amenities that Sunnybank provides. There is a private, outdoor 6-person hot tub, situated on one of the patio areas which offers seclusion but still the fantastic views that Sunnybank if famous for. There is a large screen digital TV and DVD (with a range of DVD's in the house). WiFi internet access is provided free of charge, ideal for surfing the web or staying in contact with family and friends. There is also a Smart Speaker so that guests have access to radio. There are 3 games rooms with table football, darts, a pool table and a full-sized table tennis table. Sunnybank has a large semi-enclosed garden with plenty room for the kids to let off steam whilst still giving the adults space to relax. Other things to note Sunnybank is ideal if you are looking for a central base for visiting all the attractions the South West has to offer. It is just 40 minutes drive from Devon's beaches - both north and south coast; and also Dorset's Jurassic coastline. Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks and the Quantock Hills are also close by. Its rural situation means that Sunnybank is great for those wanting just a relaxing country retreat and we do ask that guests respect this peace and quiet by not playing loud music or make too much noise when outside.
