The Civil War, the C&O Canal, hiking, biking, canoeing, history, Wi-Fi & TV, all are here for you to expore or ignore, if you need just to get away. Cook or eat out. The space Historic home with all modern conveniences in historic town (with no stoplights). Three levels rented to one party at a time. The 1856 home survived the Civil War's bloodiest day's battle. In addition to the Antietam National Battlefield, the house is within biking distance of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, the Magnificent Ditch that is now a 184.5 mile national park. The house is on a quiet street in a quiet town most noted in this part of Maryland for Nutters' Ice Cream Shop, the place to be at the end of the day. We supply all linens, completely furnished kitchen, a back deck and a front porch, off-street parking, and more that you can read about at our web site--Antietam Guest House. The price includes all taxes; $137.80is for one night for two adults. Extra $22.50 per additional adult per night. $25 cleaning fee. Dogs, $10 per night per dog. No charge for children under 18. Guest access Guests have full access to the house and the 1/2 acre yard. Other things to note We have supplied many brochures, maps, and flyers about the Sharpsburg and the surrounding tri-state area. Free high speed Wi-Fi in the house. Breakfast foods in the house for your first morning, usually include some pastry, orange juice, coffee, half and half, tea, oatmeal, butter, jelly, cream cheese. Just enough to get you started without having to go shopping the day before.
