L'Apartment du Perigord is set in the centre of Javerlhac. On "Flow Vélo", free WiFi. The light and bright, easy-to-find apartment includes; 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with a modern shower, seating areas, sofabed, kitchen with oven/microwave. Lovely walks from the doorstep (great for dogs too) in the surrounding area, chateau & river. Angoulême is 36 km from the accommodation, while Brantôme is 31 km away. The nearest airport is Limoges 58 km from the apartment, Bordeaux & Bergerac also close. The space This is a characterful self-contained apartment, set in a lovingly renovated 19th-century former hotel, with some great features; an 'arabesque' metal grilled double front door, exposed stone walls, light and bright, private with charm, a great kitchen, and a modern shower so you can enjoy a comfortable, relaxing stay. The apartment is easy to find in the center of the village just opposite the Post Office. It's located in a charming little village with a mini supermarket, bar, restaurant, 3 boulangeries, butchers/delicatessen, pizza takeaways, a Tuesday fish & vegetable market, a Sunday and Tuesday evening takeaway van, hairdressers & post office, a small village with plenty going on and ability to bbq, cook in, eat out or take-away on your doorstep. There is a river and chateau (private), with charming walks along the river and surrounding butterfly-filled countryside, it is all on your doorstep. There is easy parking beside the tree-lined square less than 20 meters away (you can drop off your baggage from your car outside the front door) and beneath those trees are shaded picnic tables... and then the 'bright lights' of Angouleme is a direct, easy 30-minute drive away, filled with restaurants & museums. To the south, there is Perigueux 45 minutes drive, or Brantome 'Little Venice' 30 minutes away. It is set on the Flow Velo if you are a cyclist! Otherwise, there are free tennis courts locally in the villages nearby, a few lakes for swimming, walking or picnicking, table tennis and children's playgrounds, adventure parks, and kayaking so plenty of fresh air entertainment! In the summer there are evening food markets in different local villages, where you can sit in the evening sun and eat & drink locally produced food & wine, there are also lovely picnic areas all around for relaxed, country & riverside enchantment.
