The property has a wonderfully bright reception room - with substantial area, well equipped for entertaining, eating and seating, incorporating solid oak traditional open-plan kitchen with open-vaulted cathedral ceiling and well appointed appliances. French doors provide level access to timber-decked terrace and extensive (1.5 acre) ultra-private garden. The 7-person hot tub is available. {For the avoidance of doubt, this is a heated tub pool - NOT a swimming pool - for the private use of guests, and its usage is subject to specific safety rules.} It comprises reception hall, lounge/sitting room, home office/working area, six standard bedrooms plus two further bedroom areas, double-basin master bathroom plus two shower rooms with basins plus WCs (three bathrooms in all). [ie. Bedroom areas comprise 4 quadruple/family rooms, 1 twin, 1 double plus two further areas with double sofabeds.] All rooms and lounges are spacious enough for flexibility in accommodating extra children, with additional folding beds, or re-configuring as second lounges. The property is centrally heated by a gas-fired combination boiler, plus the lounge has a real log/coal fire to help make evenings more cozy. Other facilities include a utility/laundry room with fitted washing machine, a single garage plus roof terrace above and plenty of fitted wardrobes / cupboards / drawer chests providing ample storage. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided, and can be changed when guests stay for longer durations. Kitchen, dining and cookware is ample for all cooking, baking and eating needs. Oh, and for 'Baby-Toddler' clobber, your hosts routinely provide travel cots, high chairs, stair gates, games and toys. Childrens' plastic cutlery and 'crockery' is also on hand. So, you don't need to pack all that clobber! ;-) Guest access You'll have private use of the whole villa and be able to use your own private garden for exercising or playing as well as share the extensive gardens of Rockbank next door - where your hosts live. Rockbank is one of the oldest houses in the Milngavie and Bearsden area, and surrounded by high perimeter stone walls plus tall mature trees. The family-size bedrooms have plenty of space for guest beds. In addition, the main reception area has an additional double sofabed. More foldings beds with mattresses are available. [Additional beds can be made available if required, keeping in mind this is a family home rather than a hostel.] Large and well-equipped kitchen for all your cooking and baking needs. Office/home-working area upstairs. Off-street private parking for 5 vehicles. Oodles of free on-street parking available. Other things to note Furniture shown in the photo images is subject to change in order to sustain quality. Neighbourhood area is residential and extremely quiet (unless planes heading to Glasgow airport are flying unusually low). For larger groups and longer stays during January to March, feel free to ask about discounts. No harm in asking! Adverts for parties or events disallowed by the platform.
