The Stable at Mullion Barn is quietly positioned in the picturesque village of Hessett on the edge of beautiful Bury St Edmunds. A one-bedroom, secluded ground floor property, ideal for a getaway for couples or small families. An EV charger is available for use at an extra charge. The space The Stable is part of Mullion Barn, a large 17th century converted barn. Said to be the best preserved in the country and considered of national significance dating around 1610, this beautifully converted barn offers a wealth of original features, furnished in a traditional and yet comfortable style. Leading from the living room of The Stable, double French doors open out onto the garden and patio with table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay, The Stable is ideal for that perfect getaway. We find our guests compliment the accommodation for the very well equipped kitchen, home-from-home feel with a touch of luxury that is perfect for all types of stays, whether it's a business trip, visiting local family and friends or the longer relaxing getaways to explore the beautiful Bury St Edmunds, Lavenham, Long Melford, Cambridge, Newmarket, the Suffolk Coast and all that East Anglia has to offer. EV charging for your Electric Car (Zappi 7kw fast charge) is available at an extra charge. Guest access The whole of The Stable is yours when you book to stay, and although it is an annex to the main Barn, it is completely private and self contained, with a large driveway, gardens front and back and private entrance and exits at the front and back of the property. Other things to note Our guests enjoy cotton bed linen and white fluffy towels. There is also shower gel, shampoo and hand soap for guests use. We will provide some tea, coffee, juice, milk and biscuits or chocolates for your arrival. The kitchen is well stocked, but please ask if there is something specific you would like to know about or have at the property as we will likely be happy to provide! There are numerous books, DVDs for the DVD player, and all sorts of puzzles and games to help you relax and unwind during your stay.
