You’ll love this cosy cabin. An oasis in suburbia, tucked beside a stream with peaceful bush views - it feels a world away, yet it’s just 6 minutes to town. This standalone cabin is all yours, with a comfy bed, Smart TV, sunny deck, and your own separate kitchen and bathroom just a few steps along the path. The space This peaceful little cabin is perfect for a solo retreat or a quiet stay for two. Tucked among native trees, it’s private, relaxing, and full of character. The cabin itself is a single-room space with a comfortable double bed, Smart TV, sofa, and ceiling fan. Outside, you’ll find a covered deck with chairs and a BBQ - a lovely spot to unwind. Please note: the kitchen and bathroom are separate from the cabin, just a few steps along a terraced path, it’s a unique setup that many guests find adds to the charm. Inside the cabin - Comfortable double bed - Sofa and Smart TV - Ceiling fan for warmer days Kitchen (a few steps along a short, terraced walkway) - Small, basic kitchen with built-in table - Microwave, fridge, portable induction cooktop (no dishwasher) - Basic cooking essentials, cookware, and utensils - Plunger coffee, tea, sugar, milk, and a few herbs & spices Bathroom (adjoins kitchen) - Shower and toilet - Please see "other things to note" regarding the hand basin Outdoor areas - Covered front deck with seating and BBQ - Picnic table under the walnut trees beside the stream Parking Onsite parking for 1 car Guest access The cabin is set up near our apartment (which is also available as a holiday rental), but it’s tucked into its own private corner of the property and completely private, with its own gateway entrance. Set beside the stream and nestled amongst the bush, the cabin is a peaceful spot to unwind - perfect for enjoying a picnic, reading a book, or relaxing with a cool drink under the walnut trees. Located in Kensington, Whangārei 2 hours north of Auckland 5-minute walk to the Quarry Café and Gardens 6-minute drive to Whangārei City Centre 8-minute drive to the Hundertwasser Art Centre and local cafés 35-minute drive to Ruakākā, Tutukākā, and Matapōuri beaches Walkable to Kensington Stadium and hockey turfs All Whangārei golf courses nearby Other things to note - The kitchen and bathroom are separate from the cabin, located just a few steps along a short, terraced walkway. - Please check the photos to ensure you know that the bathroom contains a shower and toilet only. The kitchen sink also doubles as the hand basin for the bathroom. - Laundry facilities are shared with guests staying in the nearby apartment. If needed, we’ll coordinate access with you. - The Cabin is situated beside a stream and bush area. While we take preventative measures, you may occasionally see cobwebs, spiders, or insects - they’re all harmless here in Aotearoa. :-)
