The property is a portion of a 16th Century Casa Colonica (a typical Tuscan farmhouse) situated atop a hill surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and sprawling views of the surrounding hills. The village of San Vincenzo a Torri and of Ginestra Fiorentina are respectively 2km away grocery and bakery stores, pharmacy, bank, restaurant, news stands, and petrol stations are within minutes from the house. Only 16km (10miles) to Florence the toll free highway is 3km from the house. Car is a must. The space The apartment is a portion of a 16th century farm complex, which has been completely restored with all modern conveniences while maintaining the original rustic feeling and simple elegance of the traditional Tuscan farmhouse. The patio is private for our guests, it is covered with jasmine and surrounded by roses and hydrangeas. there is a large table with chairs and chaises plus portable BBQ for grilling. The property has sprawling views of the countryside with charming medieval villages dotting the landscape. Trekking, riding, swimming and golf courses are within reach. The house is located: - 20 minute drive to Florence - less than an hour drive to Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Arezzo and the other well known Chianti towns and villages. - Less than 2 hours from the Cinque Terre - one hour from the coast: Pisa, Livorno, - one and a half hour from Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta, - 2 hours from Maremma the Southern part of Tuscany While being only minutes from all major highways the house has an away-from-it-all feeling and offers a refreshing rest when returning from a sightseeing day. Guest access Guests have access to the entire apartment on two floors, living room, bedrooms and the private outdoor patio and terrace. BEDROOMS Upstairs are three lovely bedrooms with beamed ceilings. In addition to air conditioning, the two master bedrooms have ceiling fans. Hand made mattresses and beautiful linens add to the special, casual, but very refined charm of the apartment. SURROUNDING AREA AND ATTRACTIONS Located just 10 miles from the centre of Florence ,45 minutes from Siena and the same From Lucca, it is the perfect location to visit all of Tuscany . Art tours to all major cities in Tuscany, visit to museums, churches ,castles, small villages , tours of the Chianti region, where you can enjoy the beautiful landscape and taste some of the most famous Chianti wines. Music festivals are organized all over Tuscany during the summer months. Wine tasting, ceramic, terracotta, shopping, golfing These are some of the attractions that the area offers. Other things to note A car is essential, local shopping is in the 3 villages near by, Ginestra Fiorentina, San Vincenzo a Torri and Cerbaia. Larger supermarkets are in Montelupo or San Casciano. Local restaurants are very good and they offer an interesting selection of the local cuisine.
