The Cozy Cottage in Maple Leaf (UW, Green Lake)

Our beautiful little cottage features light, open, smart, peaceful design. We are in the wonderful Maple Leaf neighborhood, close to many urban amenities, but a quiet, clean respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are just 0.9 miles from the Northgate light rail station. We offer the perfect balance of privacy and host availability. It's ideal for 1-2 people, but can accommodate a 3rd guest. Our City of Seattle Short-Term Rental Operator License # is: STR-OPLI-19-002418. The space We have a beautiful studio guest cottage awaiting your visit! We love meeting guests from near and far. The cottage is designed to be very calm: simple, clean, and uncluttered, with lots of natural light. There are huge windows, plus a skylight over the bed -- perfect for stargazing or admiring the sunlight dappled through the leaves. If you need to work, we've got an 8' long desk! Our internet service is 40 Mb/s fiber. We are located in the fabulous Maple Leaf neighborhood in NE Seattle. We are close to a bus line, the lightrail, and freeway access. We are within walking distance to the Northgate Transit Center, the Maple Leaf business district with numerous coffee shops & restaurants, and our beloved Maple Leaf Park. If you are looking for a real urban experience, this isn't the place for you. But if you want an in-city quiet residential neighborhood, then this is the perfect spot! Features include a queen size bed with luxurious linens, 3/4 "European style" bathroom, wi-fi, laundry, and reserved parking in our driveway. There is a smart TV on which you can watch your streaming services. It is fully furnished with everything you need. The kitchenette has a stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, under-counter fridge and convection toaster oven. Heat is provided by two ConvectAir Allegro, thermostatically controlled, quiet electric heaters. For over ten years, we have loved hosting folks so they can enjoy our beautiful city! Although visitors to our backyard cottage enjoy their own private spaces both indoors and out, we are just a few steps away, enabling us to quickly answer questions, make repairs, or address other needs. In order to keep the cleaning fee as low as possible, we do ask that guests do a few tasks before their departure. --Please note that the cleaning fee for stays >30 days is $200. More info in the House Rules. --There is a $10 fee for use of the twin mattress when there are two guests. That covers laundering and such related to making up that bed. Guest access Access to the cottage requires walking from the driveway across a patio and flagstone path. This distance is approximately 105 feet. There is one step into the cottage (approx 6"). The bed is quite high (36"); there's a bench-style step stool (12") provided for those of shorter stature. Access might present a problem for guests with mobility challenges. The cottage has an electronic combination lock that will be set with a unique code for each guest. This code will be easy for you to remember, and allows for seamless check-in and -out should our schedules not match up. Guests have access to the entire cottage plus private and shared outdoor spaces. There's also a grill. Other things to note We suggest you bring slippers or cozy socks, as the concrete floor can feel pretty chilly. A twin mattress is available for use on the floor.
