Our self catering accommodation is in an 800 year old converted monastery situated 5 minutes drive from the Renaissance town of Montepulciano, renowned for its Vino Nobile wines, close to art and culture, with great views, restaurants, coffee bars and enotecas. Our local area is a paradise for hikers, cyclists, joggers or simply walking through the incredible Tuscan country side that offers memorable sights of farmland, forests and rolling hills. The space Apartment 3 - Ghiberti One bedroom apartment situated on the 1st floor of the main structure of the 800 year old ex monastery. The accommodation has its own private entrance leading from a shared balcony, where you can sit and enjoy morning coffee or a glass of our local wine in the afternoon and cherish the great views of our Tuscan landscape of forests, olive trees and the country side. The entrance leads directly into a dining area with kitchen, the latter made of dark pine wood with a rustic and attractive Tuscan Country Style décor, furnished with a wooden table, 4 chairs and a working open fireplace at the end of the room that adds to the atmosphere in the cooler spring and fall season evenings. From the dining area and open plan kitchen is a wooden stairway that leads up to the lounge. One of the main features of this apartment is the lounge. Situated on the wooden mezzanine due to the high typical terracotta and wood beamed ceiling looking down into the kitchen, is the living room furnished with a sofa set, coffee table and satellite television. The lounge boasts wonderful views of the Valdichiana valley with lakes and Umbria in the distance. On the same floor as the open plan kitchen and dining area is the bathroom consisting of a closed off shower, toilet, bidet and sink. Next to the bathroom is the bedroom (the bedroom has air-conditioning), furnished with one double bed fitted with an orthopaedic mattress and typical rustic Tuscan wooden bedroom furniture. The view from the bedroom and bathroom is the same as the lounge situated on the mezzanine; of the Valdichiana Valley, Lake Trasimeno and Umbria. For the comfort of all our guests, our bedroom and bathroom linen is made of the finest cotton and Italian fabrics. WIFI is available throughout the accommodation, gardens and by the pool. The garden furnished with chairs, tables and sun beds is a quick short flight of stairs directly down from the apartment. Guest access Sant Antonio has a private gate and underground garage for the use of our guests. Guests will be provided with a remote control during check-in. Accommodation include free 24 hours internet connection / WIFI which is available around the pool (during the warmer months), terraces, gardens and accommodations. There is no charge for car parking or the use of our private 3.4km running / walking track that winds through the olive grows, farm lands, rolling hills and oak forests with stunning breathtaking views behind each corner..... All guests have free use of our Swimming pool during the summer season, small football field and BBQ's. All apartments are self catering and furnished with linen, towels and kitchen utensils. Bath and bed linen is changed every 3/4 nights. For extra linen or towels changes, a supplementary charge will be applied. During the colder season, rates are exclusive of central heating, to be paid separately in on a consumption basis. Each accommodation is individually controlled. Rates are non profit. NB: A tourist tax of €2.00 per person per day is not included in the accommodation rate and is to be settled when paying the final account.
