Delicious breakfast items are provided to spoil you. Plenty of beach/pool towels, linen, spare pillows and extra blankets. Please note there is a minimum of a 5 night stay. Brochures of places of interest, short walks and short drives are supplied. Guests will have access to a secure underground carpark. There is a large 25m lagoon-style pool and heated spa for your relaxation from 7.00am - 9.00pm. The kitchen is well equipped with fan forced oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is a washing machine dryer, iron, ironing board and hairdryer for your convenience. Guests will have access to the whole apartment - even a bath for relaxing! if you are arriving from Brisbane Airport there is a chauffeur service, the Airtrain or taxis. My check in time is from 12noon to 6.00pm. Currumbin is a 20-minute drive south of Surfers Paradise and a 5-8 minute drive to Coolangatta and the Tweed area. Byron Bay is a one hour drive. Springbrook is a 45 minute drive for really great bush walking and waterfalls. Currumbin has a village atmosphere and features fashion boutiques, gift shops, excellent hairdresser, many restaurants and cafes. Currumbin's Viking Surf Life Saving Club is unique, being built over rocks with fabulous views. Anyone can visit the local surf clubs and enjoy their hospitality. Currumbin Beach is a truly beautiful beach, and there are two adjacent beaches, Flat Rock and Tugun Beach. The Currumbin Wild Life Sanctuary is adjacent to the complex and is a fascinating place to visit - take a picnic lunch and linger there for most of the day. On Friday evenings from 4.00pm - 9.00pm, (Sanctuary Markets 2 minutes away), provides hot food stalls with home made food from several nationalities, live music and drinks, and some craft stalls - sit and experience a wonderful community atmosphere! On Saturday mornings there is the fantastic Palm Beach/Currumbin Farmer's Market 3-4 minutes drive away with a huge array of local fresh food, coffee and live music. An absolute must to visit if your stay includes a Saturday. Swim in the beautiful, natural fresh water Currumbin Valley Rock Pool, a 20 minute drive away. For those interested in Australian wildlife, the unique Currumbin Wild Life Sanctuary is a 3 minute walk around the corner - pack a picnic lunch and wander through the 67 hectares of natural bushland, filled with native Australian wildlife and live shows. Getting around Currumbin is easy. There is public transport to all areas at the door 24/7. Also, the service clubs in the area provide buses to collect you and drop you home. There are several Rent-A-Car businesses in Tugun, 3 minutes away (East Coast Rentals being one of them). The Gold Coast (Coolangatta) Airport is 7 minutes away by car. I am under the flight path when the wind is from the south, but no flights between 11pm and 6.00am. Varsity Lakes Railway Station (with trains direct to Brisbane and Brisbane Airport) is a 10 minute drive. Tugun has two supermarkets, a chemist, bottle shop, florist and many other shops and cafes are only a 5 minute walk away - and public buses at the door will take you there. Enjoy staying here during the annual SWELL SCULPTURE FESTIVAL held during SEPTEMBER at Currumbin Beach and surrounding areas! A feast for the senses and a delight to wander amongst the unique sculptures .. with a completely different atmosphere at night when the sculptures are lit up! For Golf enthusiast there are 24 golf courses in the Gold Coast region..and many more in northern New South Wales! Guests staying more than 5 nights are eligible for a 10% discount! Minimum 4 night stay except during December when a minimum 5 night stay is required As my apartment is only 7 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport, the flight path is overhead when the winds are from the south-east. There is a night curfew for planes from 11.00pm until 6.00am. The planes do not normally bother my guests. You are treated to a late check out of 3.00pm at no extra cost!!
