9 Bed~Farm Stay~Raison~Johnson Orchards
Description
Owned by the Johnson family — pioneers of Kullu tourism — this 50-acre working farm in Raison is where the Himalayas meet genuine hospitality. 9 bedrooms, panoramic mountain views, fresh continental meals cooked by the family, and a live orchard of apples, peaches, plums, pears, kiwi & strawberries. Wake up to cattle, pick fruit from the tree, trek from the doorstep. Perfect for groups, families & retreats. The space This isn't a resort that calls itself a farm stay. This is a real, working Himalayan farm — owned by a family that has shaped Kullu's farming and tourism landscape for generations. The Johnson family has been rooted in this valley long before it became a destination. Their 50+ acre private estate in Raison is a living testament to that legacy — a fully operational farm with apple, peach, pear, plum, kiwi, and strawberry orchards, a thriving vegetable garden, and cattle that have grazed these hillsides for decades. The Beas valley stretches below, and the Himalayas frame every view. When you stay here, you're not checking into a property. You're stepping into a home. Nine generously sized bedrooms make this ideal for large families, group getaways, milestone celebrations, and corporate retreats seeking something more meaningful than a conference room with a view. The scale of the estate — 50+ acres of private land — means genuine seclusion, open skies, and the kind of quiet that cities have forgotten. Meals are the heart of the experience. Every dish is home-cooked by the family, drawing on fresh produce grown right on the farm. The Johnson kitchen leans continental — think hearty, well-crafted meals made with ingredients harvested that morning. Farm-fresh milk, seasonal orchard fruit, and garden vegetables find their way onto your plate at every sitting. Beyond the table, the estate has everything a group needs to unwind fully. Walk the orchards, interact with the cattle, trek trails that begin at the farm's edge, gather around the bonfire as the Himalayan night settles in. Kullu town and Manali are easily accessible for day trips — but most guests find the farm itself is the destination. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire 50-acre estate — the orchards, open lawns, cattle farm, bonfire area, and all outdoor spaces. All 9 bedrooms and common indoor areas are exclusively yours. Private parking is available on site. The Johnson family and their team are present throughout your stay for meals, assistance, and local guidance. Other things to note A few things to keep in mind for a comfortable stay: Meals are available upon request at an additional charge per head. As everything is freshly home-cooked, we request at least one day's advance notice so we can prepare accordingly — please do let us know ahead of time. The property is in a quiet village setting — we request guests to be mindful of noise levels and respectful towards the local community. No loud music after 10pm. This is a family-run estate and our personal residence is on the property — it is private and off limits to guests. Parking is available within the property. We welcome families, couples, and mixed groups. Stag groups are not accommodated. No parties or events without prior discussion and approval.
