Please do not leave children alone at the pond. In spring, you can enjoy the awakening of nature at significantly warmer temperatures than in Germany. All year round, the thermal baths of Saturnia (sulfur springs), Bagni di Petrolio, B.di Fillipo are an event and also healthy. Visit the art park of Niki de Saint Phalle in Seggiano. Motepulciano, Montalcino, Siena, Pienza, Arezzo, Grosetto/Sea, Maremma, Lago Bolsena are all within an hour. In the Montcucco wine region you can try delicious wine with small and large winemakers and the olive oil is excellent. There are two swimming pools nearby. There is also a riding facility nearby. The area is a designated hiking and cycling area, all right outside the front door. July /August "Santa Fiora Musica" takes place, almost every other evening a performance, partly with top-class musicians from Florence and Rome and the events are spread out in wonderful places throughout Santa Fiora. All for free. In autumn, it is chestnut and porcini (porcini mushroom) time. In winter you can go skiing on Monte Amiata, 8 lifts and two ski huts. This is where the Romans come for the weekend. Even in summer, it is fun to walk up the slopes and reward yourself with an espresso or wine at the top of the hut. In the beech forests on the Amiata you can take wonderful walks or hikes, climb across the forest and on the stones, but please do not get lost. There is a bus connection from Marroneto to Rome (2.5 hours) and to Florence. Despite the numerous activities, you will always look forward to your home, enjoy the tranquility and the view.
