Lovely stone barn in Entre - Deux - Mers wine country, surrounded by picture postcard vineyards and woods, with walks, cycling and Wine Route on the doorstep. Bordeaux and St Emilion are only a 25-min. drive away. The barn sleeps 5, was updated in 2021 and has a spacious open plan living area with fitted kitchen & stylish wood stove. 1 double and 1 twin bedroom with en-suite bathrooms. Extra bed on mezzanine. Wooden deck opens onto our picturesque orchard. Shops and restaurants just 3 km away. The space The barn is located in the orchard of an old winery on the Entre-Deux-Mers wine route with its rolling hills, vineyards and woods. We have entirely refurbished this old stone barn, but retained some of the original features that make for its rustic charm, such as the old oak beams and exposed stone walls. The barn is detached and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between stays following Airbnb’s checklist. The barn accommodates up to five people with one double and one twin bedroom and an extra bed in the mezzanine. All bedding and towels are provided. Please note that the ensuite bathrooms only have showers. The spacious open plan living space has a kitchen area, lounge and mezzanine. The kitchen area is nicely appointed with an oven, induction hotplate, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, coffee maker, cooking utensils, iron and board. The lounge has a beautiful old wooden dining table and a sofa to kick back in front of the stylish soapstone wood stove that heats the entire living space. We'll fire up the stove with pellets for you every day, but can also provide logs to keep up a cozy fire. The mezzanine has a cozy corner with couch and 42" flat-screen TV with Fire TV, a work desk, and a bed that sleeps a fifth guest. We provide free highspeed optical fibre WiFi ideal for working remotely, a selection of games, as well as tourist guides and walking and cycling maps of the local area. A large French window opens onto a wooden deck which is perfect for breakfast in the garden or evening barbecues. Beyond are an orchard and a lovely natural duck pond which is not fenced in. The pond is usually dry in summer but parents must supervise their children at all times. There is free parking close to the barn for a maximum of two cars. The barn is not suitable for disabled persons as there are two sets of stairs. These aren't too steep however. The double bedroom is on the ground floor. We don't charge a cleaning fee on Airbnb, so you can either self-clean or we can take care of the cleaning for you for a 40 € fee payable directly to us. Please note that we don't allow pets, parties or smoking.
