If passing through Exeter and need a bed to rest your head, or day-tripping or vacationing in the area, or looking for an inspiring space to write and create, this is the ideal retreat. Here you have access to all of the living space, including two bedrooms with Queen beds, a fully-equipped kitchen, open concept living and dining room, laundry facilities, and pool table. Come visit. Rest. Relax. Create. Enjoy. The space Today you can enjoy a peaceful stay in our Jones McNaughton warehouse with its 100 year-old beams, high ceilings, large multi-paned windows, original floors, reclaimed bricks, and custom made tall doors. If you love architecture, Exeter in Ontario is worth the visit. Here you can relish in the town’s gothic architecture and enjoy its history and hidden treasures. In the 1950’s, Jones McNaughton Co. built a seed mill at 15 John Street East. The Post and Beam construction used on this warehouse was the last of its kind, as builders then turned to steel beams. Bedroom One features a craftsman inspired Oak bedroom suite. In Bedroom Two, there is a hand-made walnut and cherry desk to create or work online. All of the wood furnishings in the room were hand crafted my Michael. Guest access House Rules: I have sinus and allergy issues so the house rules include NO SMOKING, NO PETS. No exceptions. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation. Other rules are listed in the house rules section of this listing. Parking: There is plenty of free parking in a nearby designated area. Ask if you have unusual requirements. Breakfast/Food: A SELF-SERVE breakfast is provided, including coffee, tea, juice, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, bacon and eggs. Or, there is a cafe next door where you can get a latte, cappuccino or all-day breakfast. Down the street you’ll find Thai, Chinese, fine-dining, BBQ, home-cooked comfort food and good-ol soup and sandwiches. Walk or drive a little further and your choices range from Fine Dining to McDonalds, all within 1 mile. Within a mile, you will also find many franchise services such as Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, Foodland, Independent Grocer, Dollarama, Dollar Tree, Rona, Tim Hortons, KFC, Subway, Dairy Queen, A&W, 3 pizza shops and more. Kitchen: All of the basics are available, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, pots, pans and basic spices. If you are in need of something specific please let me know. Laundry: Washer and dryer along with iron and board are available by request. Entertainment: There is no TV just a fast internet for your devices. There is a pool table and several familiar games to play. You are one block from main street so you can explore the town easily. Exercise: There is an exercise bike and rowing machine if you want a little exercise. Also there are many streets lined with old trees that make for great walking. Whirlpool Tub: Enjoy a soak in the whirlpool tub with jets. Reading: There is also a small library of books and periodicals you are welcome to read. Games: Enjoy a game of Snooker or Eight Ball. Other games to enjoy are checker, chess, backgammon, dice or card games. I also have a small collection of puzzles for you to solve. Other things to note Fast, internet access available. Bring your own device. There are 5 steps to enter the loft, with a solid handrail. Inside there are 2 steps up to the kitchen area. This is NOT a nut free facility.
