The spacious, open-plan living, dining, and kitchen areas are warmed by a large stone fireplace and a cozy potbelly stove. Dine alfresco on the verandah or find a sunny spot to relax with a good book while soaking in the views. The bathhouse offers a stylish bathroom featuring a rainfall shower and a clawfoot bath with stunning views of the surrounding bushland. There's also a separate washroom/WC for convenience. For sleeping arrangements, the ground floor bedroom boasts a queen bed overlooking one of the property's dams. The elevated king bedroom offers a serene experience, with French-door balcony windows opening up to the treetops. Enjoy a restful night's sleep surrounded by nature's beauty at Long Alley Barn. Long Alley Barn offers a self-catering accommodation style, complete with basic provisions such as tea, coffee, and pantry items. We can also arrange additional catering options to elevate your stay, including a Country Style breakfast basket, locally prepared chef ready meals, grazing boxes, or an exclusive dining experience just for you. The ready made extras can be conveniently pre ordered directly with us and up to 72 hours before your stay ensuring everything is ready upon your arrival. Our property is off-grid, utilizing solar power, rainwater collection, and bio septic systems to minimize our environmental footprint. To maintain the pristine quality of our environment, smoking is not permitted anywhere within the accommodation or on the grounds of Lawson Park. Embrace eco-friendly luxury and enjoy a guilt-free getaway at Long Alley Barn. Guests can enjoy our unique barn amenities throughout the year, including an open fireplace, a cozy potbelly stove, a BBQ, a generous verandah, hammock, and an outdoor firepit perfect for relaxing. The Barn also features a central hydronic heating system to keep you warm during the winter months. We provide a generous amount of firewood and kindling for a 2-night stay, with additional supplies available upon request for longer stays at a service fee of $60 per load. Kindling can be collected on the property, but please note that firewood should not be removed from the premises. While we love children and pets (dogs), we need to discuss safety issues for children and the suitability of one dog staying with you. Long Alley Barn can be used for organised events only with prior approval from Lawson Park Management and is subject to additional booking hire fees. Guests planning an event with visitors to the property during their stay and that requires external commercial vendors, such as caterers, photographers, or videographers & the like, must seek approval no later than 30 days before check-in at the property. For special occasions, we offer tailored services such as floral styling, catering, and equipment hire for you and additional visitors to the Barn during your stay. Guest access A stay at Long Alley Barn accommodation includes access to the boardwalk to the bushland terraces, and the open fire pit (available from September to May, subject to local regulations during summer months). Guests staying at Long Alley Barn are welcome to visit the fenced Garden and its Studio and explore the walking trails within the property. Maps and detailed information are provided in the accommodation information booklet. Important Guidelines: Guests are not to drive on areas other than designated roads. Take care when walking on the paths, as they can be uneven. Pre-Check-In Information: All pre-check-in information will be sent via email or QR code, usually 3 days before your check-in at the property. Other things to note Guests are invited to book 2 night minimum stays. 3 night minimum stays are required during NSW long weekends & Easter weekends, school holidays, December/Januray periods. Special rates also apply for 3+ night minimum stays from 12% discount (exclusive of some local public holiday surchage rates when applicable) Please note our house rules when booking: our property is suitable for children if supervised full-time. The Barn is not fenced, and the dam is accessible. Additionally, we have abundant wildlife visiting our property. For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, please contact us for pre-approval if you plan to bring children during your stay. Our pet friendly policy is limited to one dog accompanying you during your stay. Your pet can not be left unsupervised at the accommodation and must be supervised at all times on the property.
