This peaceful private room will give you a relaxing stay in a beautiful, centrally located neighborhood. It includes a private entrance, a kitchenette, a workstation, and a quirky retro bathroom. Your hosts can give you personalized advice on the best local spots to visit if you'd like, but will largely leave you in peace. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, toaster, microwave, hot/cold water dispenser, coffee maker (we provide the coffee for shorter stays), and dishes. The room comes with a queen sized bed and a space heater. We have a driveway with 2 parking spots for you to use! If you have a large vehicle, we recommend parking on the street. You will have access to your private bedroom, bathroom, and the front patio and front yard. Feel free to text us and one of us will get back to you as soon as we are able. We are around and available if anything comes up, don’t hesitate to reach out! The beautiful architecture, lush greenery, and friendly passersby make this one of the nicer neighborhoods in Eureka. Its central location makes it easy to get anywhere in Eureka and is a great launching point for exploring the redwood forests and beaches. A very cute local coffee shop called Ramones is a short 5-minute walk away, and there are a few longer 20-minute walks through the beautiful neighborhood that will take you to the Zoo and Sequoia Park or to an adorable shopping center called Henderson Center. We walk to these places all the time! Most locals get around with a car or bike. The nearest bus stop to us is the Purple route, a 1-minute walk from our house. Uber and Lyft are available in the area, but can often take longer than a cab. We recommend Eureka's Cab Louie. Old Town may be the favorite of Eureka and it is a 7 minute drive away from our house or a 30 minute walk. We’re happy to offer our room from 1-3 months to remote workers and traveling medical staff. We live walking distance to St. Joseph hospital. There is no TV in the room, though we have very fast WiFi so that you can stream on your own device. It's a bustling neighborhood and can get somewhat noisy. Our neighbor's son is developmentally disabled and occasionally is loud, there is no need to be alarmed as he is very nice and harmless. Two indoor cats live on the property, but never enter your room. A white noise alarm clock is in the room, which helps cut out any noise. No pets are allowed. Please don’t leave open food out. You are welcome to smoke on the patio, but we do not allow smoking in the guest room.
