The Potterage Dandenong Ranges, Menzies Creek

A little slice of Tuscany with an atmosphere of faded grandeur and wonderful rustic ambience in the tiny hamlet of Menzies Creek in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Minutes to the bustling hills towns of Belgrave and Emerald. It has high ceilings, vintage furniture, balcony, open gas log fire, outdoor eating area and private garden. Sunny and comfy overlooking Puffing Billy station. One bedroom with queen bed. Second bedroom available for extra fee. Strictly no commercial photography allowed. The space The Potterage is my private home, which I also let by the hour as a film and photo location, and venue. As such it has many interesting architectural features which airbnb guests can enjoy. I designed it incorporating vintage and handmade materials. You will have the house to yourselves and private sunny garden. Breakfast food, tea coffee and snacks are provided. PLEASE NOTE. A booking for 2 people is for one bedroom with a double bed. There is a second double bedroom available for an additional fee. PLEASE NOTE As The Potterage is a registered location hire venue for the media industry there is strictly no filming or photography allowed during bnb stays. You are welcome to inquire about location hire rates separately. Guest access You will have the entire place to yourselves with access to one upstairs bedroom if a booking for two and two upstairs bedrooms if you book for four. For bookings of three or five there is a floor mattress which can be made up in the mezzanine loft sitting area. You will have exclusive use of upstairs and downstairs, the garden and courtyard, the kitchen, washing machine, main room which is the lounge, dining area, and your own bathroom. Also the outdoor eating area and the grounds, parking is onsite. Please make yourselves at home and enjoy the space. Only the guests who are named and registered in the original reservation are permitted to enter the property. Any violations may result in immediate termination of the booking with no refund. This is to protect guess as well as hosts as insurance is only provided for named guests. Strictly no professional or commercial filming or photography without written permission from the property owner. Please note, security cameras operate outside this property. Other things to note Just a note about Air bnb. The original intention was to share our personal homes with like minded and respectful travelers. The Potterage is my private home, not a commercial bed and breakfast. There is no spa, deluxe coffee machine or staff. I am aware that there are many commercial bnbs advertising here now, please only book if you are happy to share the charms and quirks of my private "non commercial" home. THe Potterage is also sometimes used by filmakers, magazines and photographers as a location, in fact Missy Higgins recently recorded her latest music video Futon Couch here. For this reason there is STRICTLY NO COMMERCIAL, PROMOTIONAL OR PROFESSIONAL FILMING OR PHOTOGRAPHY ON THE PROPERTY WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION AND CONTRACT FROM THE PROPERTY OWNER.Also we do not have a local shop in Menzies Creek - only the kiosk on the station. There is a woollies and an IGA 7 minutes drive away in Emerald.
