Large house with charm

The space Detached, large older former farmhouse at the top of the mountain with huge garden and great views of the countryside for rent. All around is agricultural zone. So wonderfully quiet. Sometimes sheep are on the neighboring property - but they are very nice. The area is ideal for relaxing, hiking, exploring the nearby Zurich, Winterthur or Rapperswil as well as climbing the Hörnli and the Bachtel , etc. Best starting point for day trips, cycling, walking.... It has 4 bedrooms with one double bed each. In the attic and in the back living room, 2 people could stay. However, the house is ideal for max. 8-9 people. Uncomplicated people can also accommodate up to 12 people well and comfortably. It has a very functional kitchen, a dishwasher, washing machine, central heating, internet access, TV, and video/DVD as well as radio. Garden furniture, barbecue, children's toys (plenty) and board games available. The hot tub in the garden with beautiful views of the valley is easy to heat. However, it must be expected to take about 3 hours until the water is pleasantly warm. Public transport (bus every half hour) is about 10 minutes away by foot. Nearest shopping in Bäretswil or Bauma about 5 minutes (by car) away. Very good restaurant (in the village) can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. (closed Tuesday and Wednesday). Zurich (great city) can be reached by public transport in 15 minutes (S-Bahn from Wetzikon) by car in about 35 minutes (not advisable, as parking is scarce and expensive) Winterthur (very good museums) in 30 min. ( by train from Bauma it is 20 min.) The house was built in 1847 and was renovated for the first time in 1958. Over the past 15 years, we have made some additional renovations. Thus, a wooden pellet central heating has been installed in the existing tile stove and all wooden walls in the bedrooms were painted brightly. The attic has been expanded. The decor style of our house is functional, modern, casual and practical. As lovers of old beautiful things, we paid attention to a good mix between old and new. It has been decorated with a lot of love and charm.
