You can rent a room for your family and friends. Madarao Mountain Lodge is a renovated 11 room lodge right on the slopes of Madarao Mountain Resort. It is close to Myoko Kogen, Shiga Kogen and Nozawa Onsen resort areas. It is an all season resort. The lodge has its own bar, restaurant, ski and snowboard rental in winter and bbq equipment, mountsin bike rental, private backyard and deck in summer. The space This property has 11 rooms. There are 4 Western-style double rooms, 4 Western-Style Triple rooms, one Japanese-Style Family Room and one Japanese-style Family Room with a bathroom. Please ask us about larger groups and renting the entire lodge out of ski season. Madarao Mountain Lodge is an easy walk to the ski slopes of Madarao Mountain Resort. From there it is also easy to access Tanguram Ski Circus as well as the back country areas of Madarao Mountain. Madarao has been a well-kept secret in the ski and snowboard community in Japan. Madarao Mountain Ski Resort has over 45 trails, unlimited powder, amazing tree skiing, awesome back country and no lift lines. With a laid back little community and cheaper tickets and accommodation, Madarao Mountain Ski Resort was rated by the Powderhounds website as being the best value place to ski in Japan. In summer, Madarao Mountain Resort is also a wonderful place to visit. You can do one of Japan's longest uninterrupted trail walks through meandering beech forests on the Shinetsu Trail. There's black bass fishing on Lake Nozomi or water skiing on Lake Nojiri. Try a spot of mountain biking, motor bike riding or even a Zipline Adventure. Or play golf at some world-class golf courses. There are plenty of ways to occupy your time until the snow comes back again. Guest access Guests will have private bedrooms with shared shower rooms or private bathroom. There are two onsen hot springs close to the lodge if people feel the need for a Japanese-style bathing experience. In winter, the lodge also operates a cafe and bar and serves an izakaya-style menu. The owner is also a chef with experience in both Australia and Japan. The cafe has menu that includes Japanese cuisine such as sushi, sashimi and tempura as well as Australian modern favourites such as fish and chips and Chicken Parmesan. The bar has an espresso coffee machine, as well as a range of craft beers and local sake and shochu. There is a recreation room that has 24 hour coffee and tea as well as a microwave, fridge and hot water for guests who want to organise their own snacks and light meals. For entertainment there is cable TV, Apple TV in the bar, DVD movies, WiFi and an Internet station. Guests can kick back and relax on the couches in the recreation room and watch movies or read from our English book library. We can also assist guests with limited Japanese ability to make bookings for other restaurants, tours, ski rentals, English ski lessons and transport. Please ask us if you need help when you make the booking! During your stay Out of ski season, the entire lodge can be privately rented. In winter it is staffed and their is 24/7 front desk support for guests. There is a cafe in operation for meals. Out of ski season rooms are available but the cafe is not running.
