Ironbark Cottage: Columboola Country

Come and stay in one of our hand built cottages, overlooking the Punchbowl Creek. Whilst our cottages have almost everything you will need, they don’t have a bathroom or toilet within the cottages. Our amenities block is located only a few hundred meters away from the cottages. Our cottages are located within a very slow Caravan Park/ Camping Grounds. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the Bush. With more than 200 acres of bushland includes bushland, caves wildlife and the Punchbowl creek. The space Our property is called ‘Columboola Country’, we are a 265 acre property which also accommodates powered sites and other cabin and cottage accomodation. The property is divided by the ‘Punchbowl Creek’. The Punchbowl Creek has one of the most spectacular natural waterholes in the area (approx 40’ deep) often used as a backdrop for weddings, receptions and other events. The ‘bus stop cabin’ is located away from the other cabins and amenities within the property. However, as guests you are more than welcome to use all of the features on site. Your getaway will be enjoyed by the peace and quiet of the country, your nights will be enlightened by natures nightlights, (too many stars to count) if you have never experienced ‘pure’ night skies, this will blow your mind.... We do have animals on the property. We have a pet sheep, named ‘Minty’ as well as (over friendly) dogs, a few cats (you probably won’t even see). We have an assortment of chickens, farm fresh eggs are always available (for sale) Our main promotion is to get back to nature... While we do have air conditioning and TV within the cabin, we promote the outdoor activities (catch yabbie, go swimming, fishing, bushwalking, rock fossicking, or just throw sticks at each other) Nothing beats a great night more than an open fire, with marshmallows and burnt sausages. Guest access We allow our guests to access most parts of the property, including our dining/ recreation hall. We also have bushwalking tracks and a large waterhole for swimming, fishing and any other water activities.
