Escape to the country to enjoy the picturesque West Texas sunsets, and an amazing view of the stars and wildlife from your seat on the upstairs balcony. Kick back, relax and enjoy the serenity of the country. Tucked away in the bend of the Colorado River, we are located just 10 miles outside of the small town of Bronte. Our upstairs, 2 bedroom, 1 bath suite is your perfect home away from home. To reach our farm, you'll drive (4) miles down a (caliche) county road. Welcome to our home, ya'll! The space This is an upstairs guest suite, with a private entrance on the balcony. It is the upstairs of our home, with 2 bedrooms, (1 King bed) (1 Queen bed), 1 large full bath, an open concept living room and dining area, and fully stocked kitchenette with a sink, a refrigerator, air fryer/convection oven, microwave, small counter-top grill, Keurig coffee maker, dishes, cookware, spices and more. There is a staircase that goes to the downstairs with a locked door at the bottom of the staircase. At the top of the staircase there are noise reducing curtains. You can pull them closed upon your arrival. Relax, dine or watch the wildlife out on the balcony with tables and seating facing the Colorado River and the deer feeder. We have also recently completed construction of an elevated rock patio at the bottom of the staircase with a patio table, chairs, charcoal grill and a fire pit for your outdoor enjoyment. If you are into birding in Texas, we have multiple bird feeders hanging in the pine trees across from the patio and balcony for fantastic views and photo opportunities of the birds of west Texas. There are even a couple pair of binoculars for viewing birds and wildlife during your stay. We also have telescope for viewing the stars and night sky. (We just request that only adults handle the telescope). Our balcony and patio provide wonderful places to star gaze, with no light pollution to obstruct your view. Our gate is located at the end of the County Road and our home is 1/2 mile down our private road. To access our property, you will be provided a gate and balcony door code prior to your arrival. The balcony door has a keyless pad for your check-in convenience. Kick back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country, the backyard birding, and the cattle and wildlife. Guest access While staying with us, you will have full access of the upstairs guest suite, the balcony and the downstairs patio, and feel free to enjoy walking around the property Other things to note We have 2 outside dogs that are outstanding "guest greeters." C-dog and Rio love people and are super friendly. Gus is the outside cat that loves to socialize. Jolie and Tinsley are our 2 dachshunds that live and own the downstairs....they just let us live here! We have cattle on the property... just be aware that they cross the road and will lay or stand in road at times. Our balcony does have a secure metal railing and a latching gate, but we ask that you take this into consideration if you are traveling with small children, as the balcony is high up and does have a staircase. We don't want this to pose a risk to small children. We provide bottled water in the refrigerator and a complimentary bottle of Texas wine for our guests.
