The adventure begins at The Old Stable

The Old Stable is nestled in a tranquil corner of the Manifold Valley in the glorious Peak District. Take a stroll across our fields to join the Manifold Way, an ideal starting point to explore the endless walking or cycling routes in the area. Or take a shallow paddle or a wild swim in the natural pool in the river Manifold, which runs alongside the stable. The Old Stable itself offers flexible, stylish and cosy accommodation to suit families or friends. The space The Old Stable is a light and airy space with high ceilings and exposed beams. The conservatory is an ideal place to relax, with cosy blankets to snuggle under, to play games or watch TV. French doors open out onto the deck, an ideal place for al-fresco dining, where you can relax and watch the river slip by. The fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge, oven and microwave. The master bedroom has high ceilings, an en-suite, and french doors to let the morning sun flood in. The second bedroom can be arranged either as a double or a twin room to suit the needs of your party. Crisp cotton bed linen and soft fluffy towels are provided. As we clean the property to such a high standard, we can only accept a minimum three night booking. Other things to note Due to the turnaround time, we have a minimum three night booking policy Please note that if you are planning on wild swimming or paddling in the river, after periods of heavy rain the river level can rise and the current can be very strong. We would advise caution. Also, please bring your own outdoor towels, are we would prefer ours to remain indoors. Thank you
