Built in 1901, Fitzroy House is the original homestead and is set within the 240 ha pest-proof fenced Glenfern Sanctuary. The much loved home of the Bouzaid family, Fitzroy House is offered for the first time for families to share and experience this unique, off grid location. Wake up to the chorus of native birdlife or take a stroll up to sunset rock for stunning 360 degree views of Port Fitzroy harbour. The space - Set within Glenfern Sanctuary with day and overnight walks (eg. Aotea Track) close by. - 5 bedrooms can accommodate up to 10 guests - Private wharf, floating dock with deep water and boat shed 100m down the path. - 15 minute walk to Port Fitzroy store and boatclub - 40 minute drive to Claris airport This recently renovated homestead offers spacious open living areas with bay windows opening to a large deck, overlooking Fitzroy Harbour. There is a functional modern kitchen complete with gas oven and Stanley wood oven. The dining area adjoins the kitchen and has seating for up to 10. There are five large bedrooms (one with ensuite); The main bathroom has a shower, bath tub, wash hand-basin and toilet, and the master bedroom's ensuite has a shower, wash hand-basin and toilet. Perfect for a family or large groups. Pets are not allowed as we are a pest-free Sanctuary. We are off-grid and power is supplied by solar panels and storage-batteries providing 24-hour power.
