Description
Stay in our lower level apartment in safe, convenient and historic Upper Fells Point in close walking distance to Fells Point, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Canton and Patterson Park! This space in our beloved row home was previously unfinished and is now a brand new garden-level apartment with all modern finishes. It includes a carpeted bedroom with large closet, newly tiled full bathroom, a fully functional and stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, Roku TV and comfortable living space. The space This space is the best of both worlds! You will be in a traditional row home in a charming and historic part of Baltimore, while enjoying all the modern convenience of a new home. You will also have the privacy of your own place but the comfort of knowing that the hosts live right above you if anything comes up. Guest access Guests will have access to everything in the apartment, including the backyard. We go in the backyard occasionally for planting, watering and composting purposes. Other things to note While the basement apartment is brand new, the house itself was built in 1900, which has two impacts on the apartment: 1) The entrance is very small and down some steep steps. This is a charming aspect about old Baltimore homes like ours, but it is not very practical. We do have a back entrance, it's just harder to locate, but if you have any sort of limitations with tight entrances, let us know and we can arrange for a back door entry. 2) We can't guarantee that you will be able to have the place set at your perfect temperature. Our heating and cooling system works for the full home so we ask that guests are patient with the climate and try to adjust in other ways such as the use of blankets, etc. 3) PARKING: We do not have designated parking at this location, nor is there a near by garage. However, we do not have zoned parking which do not require passes, so as long as you find a LEGAL parking spot you are good to go. Parking prior to 6pm-ish is very easy, but the later you get into the evening and people get home from work, the tougher it gets. When this happens it's best to park on Patterson Park Ave. just two blocks away, and turn left to go north. Careful though, this street has street cleanings, so read the signs or you will get towed! 4) THE BACKYARD: The backyard is primarily your space, but keep in mind that we do go back there on occasion to compost, plant and water in the garden.
